Is It Really Me sounds very 'Cream-esque'. About the closest they ever got to that sort of thing.
There was a lot of experimenting with the new boogie formula at that time and some great ideas. These songs combine well, but, churlish as it is to criticise, Gotta Go Home extends far too long based on its single idea and in that sense it becomes very repetitive.
However, the basis of it is a jam session, and this is precisely the true blueprint of Quo that launched them to become famous for what they were, and is a far cry from the clinical and over sanitised approach these days at a live show.
That jam session element is obviously illustrated in how 4500 X came to incorporate a derivative of GTGH

Fab! Not seen that before.
Note how deeply Francis is really, really, really into it (man!) - perhaps more so than any of them.
I wonder what he'd make of it now? Not much, I expect!
Anorak question: is that Quo's gear? Not seen them with Orange amps before
Is anybody clever enough and kind enough to convert this into a high quality mp3 file? I want this in the car for motorway travel - suspect some others on here wouldn't say no either....

They were using Sound City ones back then most of the time.

This is Quo at their absolute best. It's my ultimate number 1,and this version kicks some serious ass. Thanks Captain, my captain, and Whoppa: you've both made my day.

Love the atmosphere, love how they are all into it... a bit too long for me personally though... It does go on a bit Ill admit but I love bits of it. Around the 14 min mark, Francis switches the Tele to the neck Pickup and that bit sounds great. Spuds excellent in this as well, He's like a flipping metronome.
