I go away for a few days and come back to...what? Is there a Quo cruise? With them playing Aquostic? Surely this is not right. Yes, you read it correctly AQ.
You have probably had the steepest contrasting learning curve about Quo of anyone since you got to hear about Quo in the last year or two!
Boy, no kidding. I'm just now getting around to the live album. Jeez. Now if they were doing a cruise ship and playing rock and roll, or even better the FF, hell, I'd get a new credit card and be on that ship. But for fucking Aquostic? Are they insane? I don't even mind Aquostic that much, but come on. I'm not paying for it.

Not sure why your all getting your knickers in a twist , the quo name was destroyed decades ago .
Year in year out since 1986 .
It's incredible, isn't it, to think that these videos from 1986 were only 10 short years after Blue For You and the mighty Glasgow Apollo gigs.
At the time, 10 years seemed like a very long time, but now looking back over their history timeline - it's quite incredible how quickly the burning light fizzled into blandness, and for just how long they've been trading on the goodwill of their name.
1976 BFY/Apollo 1986 Army/Dreamin' 1996 Don't Stop 2006 Just Doin' It 2016 Last Night of Electrics
That's the last THIRTY years, people! THIRTY YEARS.

I can't watch a Dreamin' video at all First time I properly cringed when seeing Quo. It was an odd sensation at the time, based on the all the amazing times up to and including the End of the Road tour.

Although the temptation is to make reference to creeks & paddles [or paradiddles for the drummer?], I don't think this is such a big deal really. A lot of artists do "rock cruises" of various kinds & I don't think it's quite like Vegas on water, but I could be well wide of the mark there. Yeah I think alot of 'have been' artists do 'rock cruises'. Truth is CQ are widely regarded as 'have beens'. Whereas others who stuck to what they did best are still held in high regard. Rick and Francis try to brush off the negativity surrounding CQ by way of casually joking about themselves and the band. Some are fooled some are not.

Aye, that's very much the Francis Rossi Status Quo show band &, tbh, what have they added of any worth to the musical landscape since the '70s? Although I do think there are some decent artists, not just of yesteryear, that sign up for these cruises.
