They gave Blue eyed lady and Oh baby a pounding , went down like a lead balloon apparently , depends what crowds theres and what tracks they know . Greenwich was a good one with great support,Nine Below Zero and guest appearance by Glenn Tilbrook. Have seen Nine Below Zero a few times, great band !

Hi All, I think Lets Rock from the Quid Pro Quo album is a good contender from their later music......
Geoff.
Also, 'Movin' On'. You can't get any better than the Frantic Four, But for CQ, there's a few in there, like 'Lucinda' or 'Shine On'.

Pretty much everything after the "Whatever you Want" album was gooseshit. Everyone who was born in the early sixties understands this. mid 50's as well.

Matter of opinion. For me not everything after 77 was shyte... Everything after 82 is a different matter. Most of what came after that is not to my liking either except for some. Might very well be cos i got into them in 78... I do wish i had been born some years before 63 and I would have been through MKSG-BFY much more consciously... it was still fantastic to discover those though after hearing RAOTW and IYCSTH first, I had the whole back catalogue within weeks.

But does it compare to earlier glories?

Interesting for me, thinking about these old tracks. And I've realised that I did not like the whole album of Never Too Late... I've just checked out a few tracks on youtube 'cos the titles meant nothing and I knew them....but I'd wiped them from my memory. And listening again, sorry chaps but its all a bit of a dirge to my ears. They sound tired and trying to keep going.
The last piledriver ? I couldn't answer 'cos I've always enjoyed the variety of Quo. Love the shuffle, love the boogie best but never minded the odd detour. So I don't think of Quo in this way.
Thinking back now, its NTL onwards for me that they really, really went down hill. I'm not talking about a change of direction, I'm talking about them getting tired of the music.

Interesting how we all have a different perspective. For me NTL was and is a fantastic album. I do agree they were already changing at the time, but the change of JS and NTL I didn;t mind about, to the contrary, I would have loved to see it develope further into that direction (without the damn high pitched vocal nonsense though !) ... for me it was 1982 where things were starting to go wrong
