If they want to call it a day fair enough...but don't then linger on doing all this Aqoustic shite...sit down and strum on stools to add a bit more to the pension pot..surely not...what a weak way to finish up..sorry if that sounds a bit harsh.

True though. But are we that suprised? Hopefully the VERY LAST GIG will be electric, i can't see how it can fail to be!

quofr It's been a blast and I am forever thankful I first saw Quo back in 73 at Melbourne showgrounds supporting Slade. Thanks for all the great times and thanks for keeping me young. All the best with this years gigs and any upcoming projects thereafter. Cheers and Rockon Wilquo

Well I wasn't expecting to see this I have to say. I watched the Dublin FF on dvd with my dad only a few hours ago, at times we were both "yeah f****n have it", to see this is all rather sad. This is not how I wanted them to go, in my view of Quo it should be FF ending if anyone, if it really has to have an official end. I have no real urge to go to see this line-up, so don't think I will be bothering, that's not being negative for sake of it, just how I feel right now about the overall band that is and has been Status Quo. Aqoustic was crap as far as I'm concerned and the FF should be the one's to do any official end, but I will take this with a pinch of salt to be honest. "no further electric tours", mmmmm, and with this line-up only, mmmmmm. Let's hope any of the "one off's" that's mentioned are FF then. Very sad and limp way to end if you ask me. Very sad. Will probably sink in more in the coming days, but blimey all I can think of is Bula Quo and bloody Aqoustic as the last 2 albums. Real shame.

No one should ever follow this band on an acoustic tour after this. I must admit that I am torn about seeing them on a final tour, if they do Belfast, it will be hard not to go.
But do the decent thing and throw in a few ff gigs this year as part of the endings.......

I know it's pointless, but I sent an email stating that a classy way to end would have been a FF album and tour titled Goodbye, like a few of you have mentioned before. I really hope things develop a bit from here. They owe nobody anything, it's just all a bit lame and a real real shame.

The last night of the electric's...!!! Seriously though CQ are not retiring, its Rossi trying to hammer the final nail into the coffin of Quo the rock band, it only took him 30yrs to achieve this, enjoy the final electric shows whoever is going and the accoustic tours to follow in 2017. I'll pass on both as I was at the final Status Quo gig in Dublin 2014.. Yeah crap tour name. I wasn't at Dublin, but managed 2 gigs at Hammersmith and Wolves and that's the band I want to see. To me that would be the proper way for Status Quo to officially end, maybe with likes of Roll Over Lay Down, Don't Waste My Time and the Jig in Roadhouse added to that 2014 set, it would be something else!

My only hope is that this opens the door a little wider for the possibility of a further reunion in 2017 - a real way to bring the curtain down, imo.

Ok, looks like it's true after all. I'll probably go to 1-2 shows and hope for some change in the setlist but all I keep hoping for is a couple of FF 'special's' next year. I don't get the idea of them doing accoustic tours. Do they really think it would be profitable? The Roundhouse was good as a one off and a lot of fans turned out for the Aquostic tour out of loyalty and curiosity IMO but I don't think the demand would be there for further aquostic tours. They deserve to have some time to enjoy retirement. Play/write music for their own enjoyment, not for work. I wish them all the best.

I feel disappointed for a lot of reasons.
1. I won't hear those songs again. 2. Why is it not the real Quo? 3. Shit name for a tour. 4. Shit way to go out. 5. Flogging the Acoustic thing is utter bollix.
I'll go to these gigs, purely because it's one last time but, as far as I'm concerned, I said Goodbye to Quo that night in Dublin
