Just listened to John and Gillie's interview with Frame [just after the 2014 reunions] this morning - interesting stuff and really nice to hear how well they all seemed to get along. It's a terrible pity AL and FR didn't 'part' on good terms tho'.

Thanks for posting that. The bit about them hitting the colleges was interesting ... there must have been a chance for me to see them in London during that time, but I never did. No idea why. I knew they were a good band and would have taken the opportunity if they were in my neighbourhood at a time when I was. An operation of fate!

Confess to being puzzled. I thought "Four on the floor" for drums was 4/4 time, not shuffle?

A shuffle IS in 4/4 time, there are four beats to the bar.
'Four on the floor' refers to playing the kick drum on each of the four beats, rather than two as is more prevalent in most rock drummers' playing.

There is one thing that annoys me about John Coghlan, and that is the Rossi bashing he seems to need to do at the JCQ gigs. He did it a lot after Rick died, criticising Francis for not publicly grieving for Rick. I've not been to any recent JCQ gigs so I don't know if he's still Rossi bashing. To my mind no-one should criticise others for not behaving as they think they should, but that's just my opinion.

Rossi wasn’t exactly very complimentary to John and Alan after the reunion tours ,or in his book.Obviously everyone entitled to their own opinions Cheers

Even going as far as to make a nasty remark in his book about Alan falling due to his health and that's OK? Weird mindset to have

But John seemed to be saying something anti-Rossi at every gig I went to, and I got a bit bored with it. This went on for several years after Rick died.

I've not read Francis' book yet, and I'm certainly not someone who worships the ground he walks on or anything like that. I must read the book - it's hiding at the moment in a pile of "stuff" by my chair!!!!

I don't remember JC making any particular (anti) Rossi references at a more recent JCQ gig. I think there has possibly been some hurt on JC's part that Rossi seemed to be saying nice things to his face at the time of the reunions but then Rossi had possibly been making critical comments later on.

Weird mindset to have It's a funny thing.. having read it, I didn't read it that way at all. Rossi said Nuff got all pissed off cos him and Rick had to carry him off stage one night. Like, what was the alternative? Let him fall over? I don't think for one minute that he meant he would have enjoyed seeing Nuff take a tumble... It was more a point of Nuff taking offence at them helping him offstage. He was as proud as a lion, our Nuff 👍

I have to say that
"We don't Do In The Army Now or...what's the other song that nobody f***ing likes?" "Marguerita Time" "We definitely don't do that one."
made me chuckle!
