Not sure when that was recorded but I bet they don't look like that now! I've got the 12" single Battleship Chains kicking about somewhere gathering dust. But, yeah, they were good. Right up my strasse in the early 80's

Listening now Good but I prefer the earlier NY Ritz album from 87. I reckon they got progressively worse over the years as they replaced covers with average originals. The best bar band ever!
They threw in a bit of Caroline when I saw them tour the third album

I gave up on GS after the awful ITLOSAS (you're right btw, they got progressively worse after the 1st album - with a few gems thrown in along the way!)

It appeared on streaming services last year, originally a radio broadcast. Great gig I can think of 3 from the 3rd album I love. I've really tried to follow Dan Baird but I find his albums very average, not many memorable tunes there, but about 6 classics over them all Did he fall out with Rick Richards I wonder? Rick later made a decent album with Izzy Stradlin

I loved The Satellites, saw them 12 times back in the day many times hanging out with the band - great great times, i pre ordered this set last year on vinyl & cd pre orders got your name on the credits also a couple of extra bits included - original gig flyer signed by Mauro Magellan (drummer) & an exclusive print by Rob Fletcher, all in all a very cool package, Ive got loads of great bootlegs from the `80`s & `90`s - icluding 2 superb shows from The Ritz in NY - they really were a fantastic live band. The line up these days only has Rick Richards as an original member & just play small shows now n again but still play the songs well. Dan Baird had a great run as a solo artist & with his Homemade Sin band with Warner Hodges but hes pretty much retired now.

Sounds great, sincity - I only managed to see them once, Dublin late β89 on the β..Salvationβ¦β album tour. They were a feckinβ great & proper live band. (Btw I donβt suppose a boot of that Dublin gig exists, you know?) π€

Love The Tatts - far superior to ac/dc (imho!) π€ Really??! I know about 7 or 8 songs What would be the essential albums? Put me off a bit that the singer is now a right wing politician!

The 1st three are great - like GSatts they tail off a bit after the 1st one - so I gave up after no.3 tbh! I just can't listen to ac/dc [sorry, to their legion of fans on here!] I find them to be playing the same song over and over (hmm.. now where have we heard that before!! )
Btw, didn't know that Angry was now a Right-winger [as opposed to a 'right whinger' ) - a pity, 'cos now I don't rate him anymore!!!
