Not suggesting your a liar for a minute, but a video of a record going round on a turntable won't prove a thing as you could play the re-recorded version in the background instead. Its an impossible way of proving anything.
And even if you play the last few seconds of the previous song to make it look plausible still wouldn't prove anything as its easy to make up playlists of anything.
Its very possible an odd miss print if you like, or miss pressing did slip the net which included the re-recorded version, but to own a copy must make it quite rare for collectors.
Personally I was amazed the re-recorded version wasn't included on 12 Gold Bars II in the first place as it wasn't long out of the charts, but obviously for some reason we don't know they only used the album version. I don't think it was time restraints due to the album version being slightly shorter, with it weighing in at 3.37 minutes, whereas the re-recorded version is 4.10 minutes. So only 33 seconds difference. Probably the time of Frames guitar solo 😉 we were so easily pleased in the 80's 🙄
I hate to say but I think this saga will remain a mystery only the coked up management running quality control in the record company back then would know, but no hang on they wouldn't as they wouldn't have known what day the week it was.
Its ok mate, its no biggy 😎
