Perhaps in light of the last 2 years they don't want to include anything that says "Bye Bye" again right at the moment ...

Just trying to find out why my AXS "log in" showed nothing but an ad for a band I've never heard of ... the Chatline says on his end it's saying the gig (Birmingham) has been cancelled ... they sent me the tickets this morning as an email. Chaos! And the venue box office has just closed for the day ... ! It's not like I need to know right now, I have a butane bottle to return ...

The reaction when they walked on stage was phenomenal, going off of the videos.
The 2 years off have done them good, in that aspect

From the clips I've seen it looked like the crowd were really up for it, after a couple of years with no real live music and no Quo this should be one hell of a tour. It will be an emotional home gig for Ritchie tonight, the first without his dad there.I look forward to them finally getting to Germany.

I look at the set and it really no longer appeals.
Good they’re playing so much new stuff. Shame the rest of the set must be like autopilot. My Quo no longer exists.
Those who enjoy this, good, that’s what it’s all about.

So many great songs to choose from in their illustrious career.Except they always play it safe. Most bands would kill for Quos back catalogue. Thank goodness we had the 2 reunion tours . Cheers

I was hopping for Running out of time, but I like Backing off too. And the inclusion of Get out of my head is good too.
I'm expecting to see them in Bilbao, fingers cross that those songs are still in the setlist.

It's the songs isn't it. If a reasonably proficient pub band played the last five in the set well enough it would be good but this is Francis Rossi and Andy Bown on stage with 3 top line players performing Caroline, ROLD and Down Down, these 3 would make it any top 500 selection of rock songs. Whereas Wankplay give a free concert in a land that's home to 10th century justice but charge £400 for a home game, whereas Misery Guts and her "I've fucked my marriage up again PT3" Album and tour plots up in Vegas and does a couple of home gigs for another £400 and then spends a couple of hours natting and swearing. The great band Status Quo play on country wide in accessible venues for affordable prices...we've all picked the right band with this lot. Long may it continue.
We cover a whole lot of subjects on this board without offence or insult, we have brilliantly humorous posts but it all started when we heard the Drone, a verbal introduction or bought a song..luckily, because of the nature of the band, we can access great memories for not a great deal of money.

Caroline Rain Little Lady Most Of The TimeSofter Ride Beginning of the End Hold You Back Backing Off Get out of my head Medley time..what you're re proposin, down the dustpipe, wild side of life, railroad, again and again, mystery song. Big Fat MamaThe Oriental Rockers RollinCut me some slack Liberty Lane In the army now Roll over lay down Down Down Whatever you want Rockin all over the world Encore.... Paper plane Don't Waste My TimeBye Bye Johnny Hope everyone who went to that first gig enjoyed themselves. Not a bad set really, I'm going to the Wembley gig near end of the year and would love to see that set just extended by 3-4 tracks if possible, likes of which I have added and highlighted in bold red!!! Would be pretty decent to be fair. I would love just one extra obscure track for winter tour, like a Rockers Rollin, One Man Band or Your Smiling Face sung by Richie, Don't Think It Matters or Bad News sung by Rhino, Take Me Away, Who Am I, Over And Done, Nightride, Riverside or Slow Train sung by Francis. All in full of course!!! Looking forward to the Wembley gig, wish it was standing in Hammersmith or Wolves Civic Hall, but hey ho!!! Be interesting to see if and how this set develops as the year goes.

Never mind the songs, having watched a few videos of last night, am i right in saying this is the first time in over 50 years that Francis hasn't worn the trademark (mostly) white trainers/plimsoles/gym shoes???

Never was a band so well named. I don't care in the slightest. It's not the same without Rick admittedly but still a brilliant night out. The Belfast crowd was out to party, great atmosphere.

Actually when u put it like that there’s not much missing in terms of big hit singles from 72 to 80. Break the rules maybe.
