Just caught up with this interview. As interviews go, I didn't think it was sick inducing sycophantic stuff this time around, to be fair.
Perhaps I'm being too kind, but presenters having to be 'interested' in everything and a basic knowledge of all their guests ain't a walk in the park, providing comfort TV for sections of the more housebound population who lap this stuff up. I have had a look around the ITV studios at the BBC TV centre just from a technical interest mainly so perhaps being more sympathetic?
I understand what mortified is saying though about daytime TV that can sometimes be predictable and tedious and certainly doesn't cater for everyone. Fortunately hasn't come to that point just yet where life is about sitting in front of a TV all day.
Rossi and Schofield (matching black jeans!) go back a long way of course. Still remember Phil's enthusiasm on the kid's Saturday morning show when Quo mimed to something then they were whisked off from the TV Centre to get on their way for the 'Rock til You Drop' mini tour. Quo seemed out of place for me then as they had their time on kid's TV really with the likes of Tiswas and Swap Shop in the 70s/early 80s but somehow Phil S and I think Cheryl Baker(?) made it all look right and plausible.

He does look very well
He came over well overall but he can't help himself sometimes (his "who is Rick?" comment wasn't great). He clearly meant no harm though, I didn't have a problem with it although I know a fan who didn't like it
Been some great threads lately, especially the ones of grainy short clips from the 70's. "The Morecombe and Wise of Pop" isn't what comes to mind when you take them in

fretbuzzzzz, I was perhaps being a bit unkind; you're right. I'm probably biased because I really don't like morning or daytime magazine programmes and Quo have used them - as well as evening light entertainment slots - for a very long time to promote all manner of things. I've never got over it. Can you tell? But I've always admitted that it's my problem. I should really seek therapy or attend anger management sessions. I've never been the same since the days of Cannon & Ball and Des O'Connor Francis did look well. I sometimes forget he's 70 now. Lockdown suits him

Great to see! Yes he looks healthy these days, and he also speaks lots more well-pronounced, doesnt he? I think he very often tends to mumble so much and barely move his mouth, so for me, not having English as native language (I’m from Sweden) I usually have big problems understandig what he actually says in interviews. But this time it was lots easier!

Must be hard for a non native speaker

Must be hard for a non native speaker Ah! So, when he appears to forget the lyrics we need to consider that the ones we can't hear are still there in his head - they just don't all make it to his mouth!

Thanks rockonquo for the YT link. I tried trawling through the whole show but it was too tricky with the ad breaks. And I'm glad you all get to see it outside the UK. Yep, he looks good. I liked that very dark blue jacket too.
