Thanks for letting us know. Maybe he has a new album up his sleeve? He's doing an Aquostic version of his book.

Wonder what he has to talk about. Probably the talking tour?
Ideally it would be an album recorded in Lockdown but I doubt it.

The "Out Out Quoing" 2022 tour is what's being announced. A few news outlets and Quos facebook page clearly couldnt wait until after his appearance before making this public knowledge

Francis Rossi said, “We cannot wait to play again. Every gig is special for Quo but it’s been too long since we got to play anywhere.
Going out is something that we all took for granted. Not any more. Going out, going out properly – ‘going out out’, as some would have it – became a bit of dream but now that dream can come true.
The name of the tour is a bit of humour, but a celebration too. However, I’d urge fans not to overthink it and just prepare for all the hits and some serious live music energy!”

Watching Rossi and the image of the band portrayed by the show made me cringe.
As I watched it further, as with many other interviews, I could see what many in the public, press and all the Quo-haters, joke and jibe at, but also that the Quo I have liked is not the one presented (ie RAOTW, WYW, In the Army now etc., and the chap in his dress suit with his white socks who comes across as insecure and affable but would do anything to sell any thing really and doesn't care what it is!)
Not in the slightest interested in what he does and definitely not interested in seeing him or his band play.
In my eyes he fell from grace and admiration a long, long, long time ago.
(and yet I still tuned in and watched it! There was still a hope to see or hear something different but I should have known better)

As for the tracks you have in brackets, two were huge hits for the band in the 70's. One of them I think is/was a fantastic intro to rival most any Quo tracks. Nothing you said is surprising, if I thought something was going to make me cringe I wouldn't watch it or turn it off. What did you hope to see or hear that would have suited you?

This is how things are. Tour dates are no longer exclusively announced in the music press. That exciting moment when you picked up your weekly copy of "Sounds" and saw the dates. Quickly speed reading to see if somewhere local was on the list. Quo have been using the medium of daytime TV (and not forgetting The One Show ) for many years to get product and tours across to as wide an audience as possible. Do I like it? Not particularly. Mainly because I see these shows as pastel shaded drivel and never watch them. Today was an exception because I actually knew Francis was on. Sis alerted me; she saw it on the Book of Faeces. I'm a musical snob. And I hate myself for it But I always will be. I can't help myself. I want MY band to appear on Jools Holland or something with a bit of kudos. Because MY band are THAT good, I want people to see what they can really do. I don't want to see them on magazine programmes. But that's my problem. I can moan all I like. Won't change anything. And I'll get the best seats I can for whatever gig(s) I think I can afford. I'll also enjoy every fvckin' minute of it when I'm there The sycophantic pawing and beige Chinos of Philip Schofield will be gone from my mind. Bring it on
