I dont think people are angry or have a grudge, nobody talks about it.
I still wear my quo shirts, but haven't been in pub since last October. Locals used to occasionally ask if they still going I just say "I don't know", and I said that in 2019..
I'd like to know which albums Rick didn't play on.. I'd guess Thirsty work and maybe search for 4th chord?

And Quid Pro Quo, if I recall correctly. Rick is 100% playing on Let's Rock though Yes, but there are some songs where he was not involved, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not saying he was 100% absent from the album, but I'm now realizing that's what was being said with "lack of full time involvement" ahaha my bad!

Actually went back and listened to the album (Bored, I've nowt else to be at ) He's 100% playing on Frozen Hero. Nearly sure he's on Movin' On. TWT, it's hard to tell, as are the rest. He's not on Dust To Gold

I think there was an outpouring of fans talking after Rick died about what the band should or shouldn't be.
Seems we're all past that now. I'd be surprised if they'd had any "please quit" letters in the last 2 years

He's not on Dust To Gold Interesting. If I had to guess, I'd say he is not playing in Frozen Hero, there isn't really a distinction in guitars between the left and the right channels, as there is in Let's Rock, for example. There are two rhythm guitars, one on each channel, but seems the same, just double tracking the power chords. And then, of course, other guitars (more than one) doing some licks/phrases. He is singing on Frozen Hero, though. On TWT the guitar on the left channel seems to have more of the tone Rick's guitar usually has. Just place both stereo channels in mono and do an A/B comparison. The tone between the two guitars (each more panned to left or right) is considerably different, unlike on Frozen Hero. Dust To Gold, a track we know for sure he didn't play guitar on, also has similar results to Frozen Hero, after this kind of analysis. Movin' On I'd also say he didn't play, because of the same reasons above (no two distinct tones between the two channels and no tone similar to the one Rick's guitar usually has). Same with Better Than That. And on this one it really sounds like Francis's playing as well. Same thing with The Winner. With an A/B comparison it's easy to notice. On Leave A Little Light On it's clear to me that he is playing. The tones are vastly different, between the two channels. On the others I can't really say. I mean, all of this is just my opinion ahah By the way, what makes you so sure he is playing on Frozen Hero?

It sounds funny but, I could have my back turned and I'd know who is playing the guitar, bass, drums in Quo, purely from their styles of playing. They all have/had very distinctive ways of playing. As you say too, if he's singing on Frozen Hero, he's playing on it. There is no way Francis would sit around waiting for Rick, to add a simple harmony to one of his tracks that he produced. Same with Movin' On. He'd have gotten Andy to do it.

Is Francis playing on The Madness? Sorry to pounce, but thought I would ask that while the going is good. It sounds very bare of guitar.

Now this side of Francis I find hard to deal with, the whole frantic Four slagging off the Reunion after it, really lowered my feelings (professionally) towards him, first it was Spuds fault, then Alans, then Ricks, but never, ever his...lack of professionalism on his part, but then again, I buy his new extortionately priced AAA book? Who's right and who's wrong? I guess I'll always love the Old Chap...just sometimes, I'd wish he'd keep it to himself
