Rules: - Post the name of ONE Quo song that features a saxophone. That's your turn done.
- Any Quo song already posted by someone else doesn't count - you must be first for each song
- You must wait until at least two other people have played a turn before you can have another. Otherwise, it no count and someone else can play that song.
- Winner is the last person who named a Quo song featuring a sax with no more entries after 5 days.
- Both original and covers count
I'll set the ball rolling:
Dreamin'.

The question now is....how many more are there! Any sneaky wee toot in Umleitung? A hidden sax break in Paper Plane?

Any sneaky wee toot in Umleitung? A hidden sax break in Paper Plane? I'm still listening to 4500 Times trying to work out where Rocker84 has heard some sax in that one

I'm still listening to 4500 Times trying to work out where Rocker84 has heard some sax in that one We actually went through that topic on another thread recently: statusquo.boards.net/thread/13750/backwaterThey are also on Blue-Eyed Lady, at least the first 30 seconds. Another one that came to my mind with a full horn section is Let's Rock.

The Wanderer
I know, the quiz is over...
Cadillac Ranch
Don't Give It Up Fun, Fun, Fun Get Back Get Out Of Denver Proud Mary
Alan's demos circa 1985 (unreleased) had sax on them: One Of A Kind, One Step Forward, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth is, and That's All I Gotta Say.
The "If You Can't Stand The Heat" album was purely horns, i found out today.

Was it actually a sax on Dreamin or a sampled/keyboard/synth?

Was it actually a sax on Dreamin or a sampled/keyboard/synth? It sounds very fake/synthy to me... but then again, even on Cadillac Ranch it sounds odd (looped?). And I should know, since I'm the son of a professional saxophonist! On A Mess of the Blues they used an emulator to sound vaguely like a sax. Seems they were quite taken with the sound/idea but didn't really want to add a proper player to the line-up. (Oooh, there's a thought! )

There is something about brass, and i think the band have said so also, that suits their music, but i'd say more as a texture than a lead instrument?

Too much of that texture and you'll end up with Heat
