Got tears in my eyes yesterday when Over And Out (title track) came on...
I think it's disgusting Quo not getting behind the album and promoting it... It's as if he was never in the band.
Wouldn't take more than two seconds for their social media team to post something regarding it.

Why do modern Status Quo releases sound so sterile ? Same on this Rick release. To me it is very off putting.

Two points...
1) Don't you think that Over and Out (the track) should have been shifted in the track listing as the final track?
2) Autotune. Knowing how shot Ricks voice sounded in the last couple of years before his untimely passing, surely Autotune must have been used?
Ok, ok a third point...
I just want to say (before I disappear up my own arse again) that I really do enjoy the album. It isn't a Quo album, it was never intended to be a Quo album, it's a Rick Parfitt album. Yes, several of the songs do have a Quo vibe, but as he was integral to the Quo sound it is only to be expected.
There's a good mix of styles and it seems a fair reflection on Ricks love of music. For those that wish to compare it to Quo, well it's a far more enjoyable listen than anything they've produced since the JS/NTL sessions.
My only criticism is maybe it could have done with a smidgen more "oomph" in production on a few of the rockier tracks.
Great work to all those involved.

Really looking forward to the release more than anything else from the Quo stable (Bar the Frantic Four) and it doesn't disappoint at all, some real good tracks on it and unlike Quo releases of the last 35 years, no real 'space fillers' The Producers have done a fair, if not spectacular job on it (Compare it to say, Queen 'Made In Heaven, as a posthumous album, it is a far better offering) The John David penned tracks stand out for me, but after listening to it fully twice (so far) it's a Good, if not Great (If Rick was still with us, after the Classics he's written/co written, I doubt it would have been 'classic' anyway) but it's been lovingly 'Put together/Finished by RPJ and Co' Well packaged too, many thanks to all involved I say...One very Grateful Quo fan here Rick Parfitt OBE 1948-2016 Thanks for Every Single Note and Contribution letsrock

Anyone else noticed much difference yet between the 2 CD's? I haven't yet, I'm wondering if the band mix has less production on Rick's voice?

You can hear the autotune on some tracks. I've not listened to it that closely. Which ones /times? ‘Without You’ on headphones you can hear that very slight metallic quality auto tune gives to vocals.

‘Without You’ on headphones you can hear that very slight metallic quality auto tune gives to vocals. Cheers It’s definitely not a flaw, and it sounds like RPJ and the others had little to work with and to get an album out of this quality is amazing. RIP Rick.

I haven't got the box set yet,so it's Spotify at the moment.
I just want to mention that the 'Lock myself away' tune is my current favourite....I'd normally don't listen to that kind of music, but this one is just amazing imho....

Loving the album, preferring the band mix version though, a little rougher and have noticed a few little differences here and there..... For me stand out tracks are Long Distance Love, Twinketoes, Over and Out and Without You....I do feel if RP had been alive today it would of been a different album, hopefully longer, think it's one of the shortest albums I've listen to. But it's exceeded my expectations, one of the reasons why I didn't listen to the tracks before it came out..

Rhino plays bass on Lonesome Road ( specifically at Rick’s request the quote in ftmo is something like “ it became clear to Rick that Rhino had to play bass on this one” and also on Everybody Knows How To Fly
