Never thought I'd read they were coming over here ....... do I go or not ...... Will Alan be involved ? ..... will the concert sell ? .... Something tells me it will be cancelled .....could show some of the kids what used to be my favourite band were about .... do I go to meet other Quo fans here .....111 , kiwipom are you guys going ? .... if Rick was still alive and involved the decision may have been easier ..... anyone else have visions of a quarter full Vector , ex pats all waiting for Rockin All Over The World ...... my mates back in Blighty will be incredulous if I don't go ....

I am seeing Guns N Roses at the London Stadium June 16th. Looking forward to Wolfmother! Saw the band's last night . Wolfmother were great despite the sound being poor where I was stood . They played all the ones you would hope and were well received . I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't have sparked up a conversation about bands with a guy who looked like Billy Gibbons , who just kept banging on about Bonnie Rait , Fleetwood Mac , all the time holding his new Wolfmother tshirt , why do people go to gigs just to talk all the way through the act ? Guns n Roses - read the review for their previous concert , full of plaudits , what stood out for me was in the three hour show containing around 25 songs , 7 were covers ! Wish you were here morphing into Layla , The Seeker , and a Stones song , and their famous ones . Not sure why they ( and the Foo Fighters ) go down this route *. Watched them with an open mind , as a very , very , casual punter , liked some of it , not that bothered with other parts . A big crowd , way more than AC/DC , though this may have been helped by halving ticket prices in the week before Xmas only . Poor sound at the beginning as well though this did improve , however it had me wondering if he was actually singing the first couple . Left during the encore to avoid the nightmare traffic , and didn't feel bad about doing so . * As an aside I was at a festival one year and Texas were on , girlfriend at the time loved them , mid afternoon set ( 45 mins max I would have thought ) and halfway through they have a competition to see wether the drummer singing a David Bowie song or the piano player doing an Elton John number is the most alike ! Why ?

If they could rewind a bit further they might be able to rescue Alan ! .
Sometimes I wonder where the band feel they should be marketing themselves towards , and how they perceive their standing in the music world .

Read the news this morning ( up early -5 am , puppy ) , mate had tagged me on Facebook from the U K . Stunned to read the link , had a beak on Sky who were showing the U K version , checked BBC app news - top story , still found it hard to compute . Turned it all off and focused on the day ahead with my kids . Now late afternoon , still shocked by his death . Really feel sorry for all his kids especially the twins , such a hard time that's going to be every year . Selfishly I feel sorry we will never see another reunion , such a fucking waste of talent lost over the last few decades . . Sorry to for all the fans who made the reunion tours so special , their contribution should not be underplayed .

Awesome. Something to live for again! Even if Rossi was to become involved I would much prefer his musical influences did not creep in. Obviously the song writing material may be a little stretched between Rick and Alan but am sure they will bring in other partnerships. At the end of the day I really hope this comes together. It would be a great middle finger in the air to Rossi and that is what the man needs. I just hope it is done right. As always though it all comes down to the quality of the material. Regardless, exciting news. A Northern Hemisphere Summer tour ?

Yet more electric dates have been announced next year, for Germany, under the heading "due to popular demand" It makes me think of two things.... 1. There's no way it's by "popular demand" because they can't sell out any arena, anymore, in their current state. 2. Was this "Last Night Of Electrics" tour all some sort of cynical way of getting people to pay through the nose for expensive tickets and was it a way to actually try and shift more tickets? Call me cynical but, it all seems quite pathetic tbh It was reported the RSPCA and specialist vets were called to the Duroc farm to attend to a whole herd of cows that had been milked to death

Where's Alan's dummy when you need it? Cheers As you look at the stage , to the right of the middle microphone , he's the one with presence ( sackfulls at this time of year apparently )

Saw them live last night , great show . Remembered reading the above post and possibly there were miming segments last night but very well done . What got my goat were the " fans " who talked / yelled to there mates the whole gig , the sound wasn't that loud as it was , so I struggled to hear any talky bits with the background chatter . Why do women ( 40 's , 50's ) think they are still 19 when out with the office girls on the Xmas party ? , stop cackling and dance like they're in Ibiza when they recognise the intro , think it's ok to stand on my bare feet ( jandals / thongs / flip flops ) , kind of lean , touch up against you with no worries - I'm standing my ground so to speak and she's just underneath my bent arm which is holding my phone , then behind me a real 19 year old boozed up tried to jump around within a square metre ! Maybe it's me and I need to go to the seats , but we were over halfway down the pitch away from the stage , just unlucky with who was around us I guess .
