For reasons only known to myself, i go the Rewind 80's Festival North each year.. Its for the has been's of the 80's, which sad gits like me go to, so Heaven 17, Jimmy Summerville etc, you get the drift. Lineup's have been released today... yes, the band formally known as Status Quo are on. FFS.. can Porter drag them any lower ??

Heaven forbid Francis would play at anything connected to nostalgia!

If they could rewind a bit further they might be able to rescue Alan ! .
Sometimes I wonder where the band feel they should be marketing themselves towards , and how they perceive their standing in the music world .

Hang on. Frame doing the 'nostalgia' circuit!
Surely not...

I wonder how much of their set will be songs recorded in the 80s... Surely they won't play ROLD, WYW, DWMT, DD, PP, RAOTW, Caroline etc. etc.

I'm sure some of you will defend them playing at Has Been Fest 2017, but I think that even Spinal Tap would refuse to be seen near talents like Owen Paul and H17's Glenn Gregory.
Fraudster Quo should pack it in. Pronto.

Quo will be about the only lot able to play a full set, most of the others were one (often minor) hit wonders, or a couple at best and for those obsessed with bands clinging on to original names with one or no original members they should at least applaud The Orchestra, the latest incarnation of what was ELO Part II, the closest to an original member being Mik Kaminski and his blue violin.

Heaven forbid Francis would play at anything connected to nostalgia! Oh yeah, he's a man of principle! You see Mr OBE Rossi draws a strict line in the sand when it comes to nostalgia: the eighties are NOT nostalgic, but the Seventies are! The 70's are strictly off limits!! Horrible shite... But of course thats what we'll play because of money...blah bla blah... money, blah blah blah... kids, blah blah blah... lifestyle.... b l a b l a b l a. Get it? Yes Francis, we do.... you're a sell out.

Quo are headlining so they're afforded a sixty minute set - most of the other acts will have around 20 - 30 minute set times.

They're looking for a boat small enough. Although, to be fair, if Quo had been the band on the Titanic it would never have sunk - it'd still be sailing now!
