Not sure the video would have been seen much since the single stiffed. Hearing Not At All on a revived Juke Box Jury was the first time I was really embarrassed to hear a Quo song on mainstream TV

Too nice! Needs a bit more oomph. No-one gets anywhere near Quo like Quo do. Not sure why I would listen to this when I can slap on Just Supposin'

Here's the full story. The drummer of Stretch in 1976/78 and 2008/09 was Jeff Rich. Hmmmm, interesting. One part I find extremely hard to believe - that they were waiting for Mick Fleetwood to turn up while thousands of people were in the auditorium! For their story to be entirely true that would suggest that they hadn't rehearsed with Mick Fleetwood before a major US tour - I doubt that very much. And where did they find a drummer and, presumably, bassist (the Mac in Fleetwood Mac) from at such short/immediate notice. I believe that Quo didn't know it was the bogus Fleetwood Mac until they turned up - that seems reasonable. Very unlucky for Quo, tho'.

Seconded. Outtakes from Hello Quo, I would say - I really enjoy listening to them talk.

I was there. As I remember it they gave Lemmy an acoustic guitar! And yeah, Kenny Lynch. From the sublime to the ridiculous!

The 1988 version was the best. Running All Over The World in the UK, they also did the original lyric for the States. Is it on one of the remasters?

It may sound flippant, but if they had cracked the States, they would have had more access to (better/worse) drugs and we would probably had seen a member crash and burn from the effects. They got mighty close anyway. Not flippant in the slightest. They do say it was going to America in the 70's that got them on to the harder stuff anyway. I'm sure at least one of them has said that they had drinks spiked or something at one of those record company gatherings. But liked it Here's the story according to Rick (along with some other interesting stuff) Hello, Quo and Cocaine

Yup, always liked this one. It shows that even in the deepest depths of the doldrums of their career, there was always a decent tune or two around.
Saw a brief documentary on Keith Lamb on YouTube - bit of a tragic figure in the end. Keith Lamb, Bernie Frost - with the exception of Bob Young, Quo collaborators (I resisted Quollaborators, doh!) don't seem to do too well in the long term.

Sorry if slightly off topic but was wondering if there are many unreleased covers from the Don’t stop and Famous in the last century sessions. I don’t know if I am imagining things but there was one famous track they covered but couldn’t pass the copyright??? From Don't Stop there is; Money - The Beatles, and Saturday Nights Alright For Fighting - Elton John. I don't know if there is anything else from the FITLC sessions tbh If Saturday Nights... is done as an out and out rocker it could be storming! Probably 'safe' from those sessions, tho'

Saw this tour in The Duchess in Leeds (now sadly gone). One of my top 3 gigs ever along with Zep at Knebworth and Slade at The Mayfair Newcastle. They were absolutely brilliant.. I've never seen a tighter band. It always makes me laugh when I hear people say that tribute bands playing in pubs are just as good as the real thing - if you saw the real thing in a pub you just might change your mind!!!!

Yeah, this one is ok.... but I prefer Looking Out for Caroline - great riff on that. Rick's guitar sounds great on this, though.

I've always like the lyric. That line " I thought I'd been in love but it's a feeling I can't trust, 9 times out of 9 I find I was head over heels in lust" is excellent!

I do wish Bagpuss wouldn't do that to Zippy while we're listening to 4500x

The re-recording of RAOTW in 1988 was the best recording - Running in this country but with the original lyric for America. Much fuller sound.
