Monty Python incorporated the late, great Graham Chapman into the shows they put on the other year - I doubt if they'd have even gone ahead with the shows if there'd been any suggestion of him being ignored/forgotten. The strange thing the clan of FRQ are treating the subject leaves me non-plussed, as in surprised and confused so much that I am unsure how to react. The fact that the whole lot ain't showing no respect, grief or any will to even remember the late great Rick Parfitt..... and that a few selected believes that "oh that's the way to go..." Feck...

Regarding the Who, they mourned the passing of John Entwistle with their audience. This strengthened the bond between the band and their fans. The way Ricks passing has been handled by Quo has caused division between the band and its fan base. Very sad and totally avoidable.

Well I couldn’t resist getting a ticket for reading at that price . In my mind it’s now Francis Rossi’s Quo so I can separate the two bands Cheers For me they have been since ‘85. And in hindsight ‘81.

Regarding the Who, they mourned the passing of John Entwistle with their audience. This strengthened the bond between the band and their fans. The way Ricks passing has been handled by Quo has caused division between the band and its fan base. Very sad and totally avoidable. Quo don't care about fans who want a proper tribute to Rick because management don't want "thinking people" following the band i.e. fans who can answer back. Zombies like Mr and Mrs Smith who'll hand their cash over willy-nilly and not complain is where its at. Porter's perception of Quo is to be a "happy" band. It's been said that he INSISTS on the band being photographed with sunny, blue skies behind them. God help him. David Walker was of much the same mentality - refusing to let the band do This Is Your Life unless all references to drugs and the rock and roll lifestyle were taken out. I genuinely think there is a feeling within the Quo camp that the band has to be wrapped in cotton wool and everyone treated like two-year-olds. It would certainly explain the simplistic promotion over the years. As for Francis not wanting fans to be on a downer at gigs, does he think people are like him and they can't control their emotions? Does his OCD for cleanliness affect his judgement?
