Thanks for the link curiousgirl. I had a look and skipped through a few of the songs. Unfortunately I have to accept that I can't bear to hear Francis sing anymore. He just irritates me so much with his Vic Reeves club singer style. It has been happening for a while but has definitely got worse. I can't even listen to Railroad anymore on my Hammersmith Reunion cd because of it. Bye bye bye bye.... Andy should get on mic and say ‘and now let’s hear that song sung properly’. Comedy genius vic and bob Cheers

Yes I agree curiousgirl that the band is excellent in places and you really should go and see them sometime. btw does Ritchie wear a black shirt, opposing the white shirts the other members of the band wear, as a 'nod' to Rick? If so then it's a nice touch.

I was exaggerating a bit, likening Francis to Vic Reeves, but his vocals just seem to get on my nerves now. Yes the band played well but apart from a tribute concert for Rick, not for me any more.

Maybe the audience response to ITAN changed them up a gear because on ROLD, Francis was on fire. I've not heard him play like that in a very long time. Sure, he's changed some of the original arrangement, but why not. He certainly enjoyed playing it for once. Francis has been pulling faces and arsing about with phrasing and chucking in different bits of guitar all the time I've been a fan, but now he seems to do it on ROLD without stopping ... I went scampering off to have a listen, hoping for fire, but alas he seems to be struggling with the singing and unable to really get a grip on the rhythm ... yes at the end he does open out a bit for a few bars. I play this little trick on myself, look at the ceiling and try and forget it's 2017 and that it's still 1982 and it's the skinny one singing again, he could get away with his little tricks because the rest of it was brilliant and it was all part of the mix. And yes at the end of BBJ he does seem to get the wind up his arse and be enjoying himself ... he still has it all in him, I noticed this last December, when he does commit he's still great. But most of the time he just doesn't seem to be too bothered. I think he's running out of Francis. He is after all 68, which must be hard work, and being who he is, he's trying to be two people (at least) both of them 68, which must be very hard work indeed

Not surprised curiousgirl the metal folk like In The Army Now, there are a few heavy metal bands that have covered it, like these ones.

Hi ya ROQ...mate, as far as I know Nightcore isn't a metal band but a Norwegian DJ duo that speeds up tracks, like what was done in the techno and trance scene particularly in the 90's and 2000's but has since then extended to other tracks too. Listen to the song and compare with Sabaton and you should be able to hear the music is the exact same, just sped up, you can also hear it in the little bit chipmunk singing in Nightcore's version. I like Sabaton's version By the way

Thanks for putting it up CG. Certainly not the worst thing I've ever seen....in fact I quite enjoyed large parts of it. Would I pay to watch it.....no.

I thought I was losing the plot. . I've decided I won't be going either but I was tempted, briefly. And to others members here, for the avoidance of doubt, I did not listen to this as if it was any previous era of Quo but as a new band, who cover Quo tracks. No way, does this compare to my beloved FF era. I was simply surprised that Francis could make a few changes, improvise on tracks and actually enjoy playing with the band. I thought he was incapable and that surprised me. But we all hear things differently. No worries, folks, I accept that.

Had a flick through things, but enough to know that as anticipated its like listening over again to a pre-recorded message.
Same set as ever since what seems like the bronze age (but encrypted in stone) a medley that cheapens and paraodies the best songs it contains (such as Paper Plane) and amplifies the feel of entertainment style karaoke that pervades the whole gig. I agree wholly that Francis singing is hard to tolerate to be honest.
Sorry, can't be kinder unfortunately.

But I didn't find the performance too bad at all (apart from some of Rhino's singing) and for the people in the crowd it probably went down quite well. I've certainly seen much worse clips of that line up on you tube. Not that I'd go and watch them of course.....but sat eating my breakfast watching on my iPad it was better than watching what ever day time telly there is on offer.

I just realised they took The Oriental and CUOY out It worries me actually I didn't even notice That confirms to me that the usual tiny window dressing of taking two permanent set residents out for a holiday and returning another two permanent set residents from holiday exacerbates further the omnipresent impression of granite thick inflexibility and inability to be creative and inspirational. Really scary, but alas true to the reality of endless cyclical infinity
