Great posters Noizeboyz!! Alan looks very happy, with good reason. I think GAZ and myself must've been at the same gigs to see Joe Walsh and Kevin Borich(one of New Zealand's best exports- La De Das) The big guy with his arms around Alan and Angry was a very solid drummer. Solid as in reliable and great technique. That is a trademark sneer from Angry to cover the fact that he is also a nice chap.

I saw The Party Boys with Joe Walsh and KB at The Workers Cub in Canberra. Met Joe as he was talking with KB after the gig...couldn't believe I was chatting with the guy from The Eagles. Not long ago I was talking to Kevin Borich about how they got Joe Walsh to join The Party Boys and he said he met him while he was touring USA and a few years later just contacted him with the offer and,to his surprise, Joe accepted. Joe even slept on Kevins lounge ffs. btw slowtrain7... the big guy with his arms around Alan is Peter Heckenberg. I saw The Bombers a number of times (once with John Coghlan).

Sincere thanks GAZ, I knew it was Peter on drums, he was a "HECK" of a drummer, bad pun intended. Sounds like you're more of a backstage whore than I was. If it was in Joe's drinking to excess days then it wouldn't matter where he slept I saw Coghlan play at Hotel Manly with Alan in November 1988, I think it was the 25th, though the past is getting a little hazy

November 25, 1988 was the 330th day of the year 1988 in the Gregorian calendar. There were 36 days remaining until the end of the year. The day of the week was Friday. There's a good chance it was the 25th November, being a Friday. I was joking about memory being hazy, I have the ability to recall images with vividness bordering on actual visual perception; total recall; also called photographic memory. Eidetic memory, to use the clinical term, is the ability to recollect an image so vividly that it appears to be real. Dictionary.com's 21st Century Lexicon. If the Hotel and bar was still there, I could show you the exact place I was standing when I 1st saw Coghlan doing sound check. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bad things I can't forget to. It's a curse

That last poster is interesting as I remember a Bombers gig where he signed someone's beer coaster ' All the best, Alan Lancaster.... Quo Forever'

Cheers! Hi mate, The Party Boys also did a few gigs in New Zealand in 87 or 88 I can't remember the exact dates anymore, I saw them at the Broderick Inn, Johnsonville, Wellington during that tour. I recorded 45mins of the gig on a good old C90 cassette tape. Still have it somewhere...
