No choice i'm afraid unless someone wants to pay the money to the camera crews that were booked in advance. Money has been spent on this and had to be followed through. Even if it's not what the fans really wanted.

This is fantastic news and a must buy for every real fan of Status Quo.With a special booklet by Derry Quo and a limited addition numbered reappraisal prism this will reassure fans of Status Quo that they are still a force in the music business. Culled from the legendary Liverpool gig these disc will finally relegate the tired old shows of Reading Festival, Southend Kursaal ,Cardiff Castle,Glasgow,NEC and Live Aid to the dustbin of nostalgic obscurity. With powerhouse Richie Malone driving the band to heights never before achieved by the band in a live setting and inspiring Forest Hills answer to BB King to never before heard excellence.Rossi benefits from the freedom of having no one else to get rid of and no legacy to protect. He almost realises his ambition of pointing at the audience for the whole show rather than play the guitar.

Its huge amounts of money to pay for what is essentially yet another karaoke rendition of greatest hits - LNOTE or otherwise. Especially as Rick wasn't even there.
This is no slight at all on Ritchie Malone - he simply has been filling in a role and has done well However it is indicative of the fact that what was once a down to earth value for money rock band has become a money spinning travelling entertainment show with no variation of formula from one show to the next.
I used to be able to afford to see Quo in the golden era whilst at college using money from my weekend shop assistant job (and a bit of help from my parents in terms of transport till I passed my driving test) A small amount easily found and easily achievable in exchange for a fantastic unpretentious rock experience. The gig was always more important than the merchandise though it was still possible to afford a few choice things here as well.
I dare say there will be people who are fans of the travelling show and will eagerly pay money for a product like this. Each to their own. But as far as I am concerned, how times and value for money has changed...

It's so bloody simple. If you don't want it,don't buy it. No offence but, this is the sort of shit on FB I'm talking about. There's even some person who went to the gig that has admitted they won't buy it because, they couldn't "bring themselves to watch it or listen to it" Even though they paid money for a ticket Just because we don't want to buy it, doesn't mean we can't have an opinion on it and dislike what Rossi and Porter are doing. I'm not buying it and I think it's ridiculous what they are doing. Simple!

Not convinced there was no time to cancel and just what would have been involved and how much? youre making your opinion sound like fact I think. or are you in the know?

Trouble is for a lot of bands who want to put on shows in the big halls and the major cites and venues. The whole package becomes more important to make ends meet. Unless you want to be putting shows on in small town halls and the like. Sadly the modern day world is very very expensive and they have to prostitute themselves anyway they can to break even. It's the nature of the showbiz world these days.

Not in the know but being a realist, I have said before Michael Jackson's death cost the music industry millions. So these days cancellation of signed contracts is very expensive. Camera crews used at gigs are booked months in advance they would not want to be out of pocket because a band could not perform. So someone would have to have paid them regardless and with Rick being uninsurable at the time. It would have come out of the bands pocket.

Rain sung karoke style by Rhino erm no thanks vomit_100_107 vomit_100_107 vomit_100_107 A that song should not be played this year & B they should of took songs out of the Setlist which are sung by Rick after he had his heart attack last year & having seen enough clips on YT of Rhino singing its embarrassing and a mockery of those Rick songs being used in the same setlist.
