AHA... at last Davy admits to changing his mind occasionally Just teasing Davy... be kind! Interestingly, when this came out the band had reached 'peak hair'. Outwards and upwards I preferred it when they just let it grow down, down I loved this song and I never even saw the video! the funny thing is, this is meant to be a disco song, right? (I've been told.) and yet here are the ultimate Formation Dance band (after The Shadows) and they don't have a disco routine! If they'd shaved, added some glitter, and some kicks and wiggles, this would have been huge!

Alan and Rick used to have a dance routine which they did while "winding down" after gigs - and when Francis had already gone to bed
Or so I am told

I will admit the lyrics are stupid but. I love the rhythm to that one and the little riff gets in my head and I can't stop humming the bloody thing. Nothing wrong with that. If you like it, you like it, it's that simple Varies from person to person... I like the song The Winner from QPQ , lots and lots of people who think it's terrible. Would be boring if we'd all like the same things Exactly, we don't control what we like - which is why I always react allergic to people demonizing others for expressing like of this or that song or album. As for The Winner, it's my least favourite from QPQ but I can't say that I think it's "bad", it just doesn't appeal much to me. Probably one of the few recentish Quo songs that could have worked better within a Rossi solo album context.

All that hair 'whipping', smiles on faces and quite possibly the best playback performance Quo have ever done. Quos attempt on the disco genre and not a bad one. Mainly just a disco drum beat

My parents had a real eclectic taste in music and thanks to then so do I.Here's the best music story ever vivfromcov. An array of cultural experts met to decide what to put on the disc that is on Voyager 1.When it was suggested that Bach be included one of the experts said "Surely that would just be showing off". We make these anthropocentric assumptions don't we. The clever aliens who found Voyager and deciphered it, might have no concept of pitch, or rhythm - or even sound. Never mind the subjectivity of taste - the aliens might have been more impressed by "Ooh Aah Cantona" "We come in peace.....Agadoo doo doo"

They all look so happy in that AP video (even the old grump behind the kit gives a smile).
Little did they know a year or so later they would hit a low point and things would get worse.
1979 really did send the band down a bad road.

I quite like Dreamin' - for pity's sake - which is totally unacceptable - unlike the songs I like on 1982, which I feel comfortable admitting. I also like Dreamin', but it's a very taboo song to like... Strange it was written in the early 70's as Naughty Girl and shoved to the side until Army, and then renamed Dreamin' because of the whole thing with Alan

I don't love every Quo song, but do 98-99% of them. Off the top of my head tho, 2 I can absolutely write off without even thinking are 'Gone thru(!)the slips" & "Tango", no redeeming qualities whatsoever within either, Imo...

LOL...I like JSD too...unlike the Oriental which is one of the most stupid songs I ever heard. I will admit the lyrics are stupid but. I love the rhythm to that one and the little riff gets in my head and I can't stop humming the bloody thing. I totally agree!

Dreamin' is one of the most awful things in Quo creation... "You've been a naughty girl, you've got me in a whirl" etc. Lyrical brilliance, surely?
