Another Shipwreck - a true shipwreck of a production from Poppy Pip, about as far from the Quo sound as you can imagine, but underneath a really great song from Andy's solo career.

For me it has to be Accident Prone. On its release in 1978 I detested the track. It was a sign of which way Quo were heading at the time. I totally forgot about this song until 2013 just before the Frantic Four reunion, when I decided one night to listen with a beer to some Quo that I had not visited for years. Lo and behold the clip that I found on Youtube was superb. I now love this track. Strange isnt it?

Back in 78 when I first heard it, I wanted to rip Rossi's bawbag off and throw it into a fire....but now I love the song. Time does strange things. AHA... at last Davy admits to changing his mind occasionally Just teasing Davy... be kind!

gatesheadbanger My Mum really liked Jack Jones and we had the If album. I went with her to see him at Coventry Theatre back in the 70's. I was surprised to read he was still on tour last year. In his eighties I think?! I love some of those old classics. Very different genre but as you say, it doesn't matter what's cool, just what you like.

Easy listening as an art form....especially when April Stevens speaks the lyrics.

My parents had a real eclectic taste in music and thanks to then so do I.Here's the best music story ever vivfromcov. An array of cultural experts met to decide what to put on the disc that is on Voyager 1.When it was suggested that Bach be included one of the experts said "Surely that would just be showing off".

I will admit the lyrics are stupid but. I love the rhythm to that one and the little riff gets in my head and I can't stop humming the bloody thing. Nothing wrong with that. If you like it, you like it, it's that simple Varies from person to person... I like the song The Winner from QPQ , lots and lots of people who think it's terrible. Would be boring if we'd all like the same things I quite like it as well. There are worse (and better) songs on QPQ

We make these anthropocentric assumptions don't we. The clever aliens who found Voyager and deciphered it, might have no concept of pitch, or rhythm - or even sound. Never mind the subjectivity of taste - the aliens might have been more impressed by "Ooh Aah Cantona" Yes but what they didn't know was that Bach is the coded algorithm for the advanced warp drive.

There are worse (and better) songs on QPQ I'm always surprised how much I like it whenever I hear it. that bit about "all of your heart" and "you have to do it again" ... it's a cut above the average "we won!" tune.
