I went to one of the Wembley shows and it's gone completely.I always hated Wembley arena, great for show jumping and five a side football but rubbish for music.Quo loved it for the money generated.I can't recall one show there I liked. My worst Wembley was when they had a band called DRN in support, that was the evening fucked right there. The British Lions and Nine Below Zero where the best support bands I saw no threat to Quo but seasoned pro's,Nine Below Zero had Rory Gallaghers bass player and Glenn Tillbrook from Squeeze who banged out the Caroline riff on their last song.

Aye, Wembley Arena - a fucking barn! Seen a few bands there & the only one that came across well in that venue was Hall & Oates, of all people.

It's funny about seeing other bands.I've been to a few "wouldn't expect find myself here" gigs but it's 99% the case that the pro's won't let you down. Ever seen a big classical orchestra on stage den?

Ever seen a big classical orchestra on stage den? Yeah, one of my lads doesn't like songs - he prefers soundtracks to films, or even games. So we've been along to see a few orchestral performances when the material's appropriately themed. I appreciate the power of a big orchestra, whilst at the same time there can be subtlety & lightness - just like Quo!

I saw them at S*uthampt%n Gaumont that year. Awesome as usual. I only saw them once at Wembley, that was 1981. Not the best venue, hence not seeing them there during the reunion gigs.

I saw Quo 3 times in 1979 I think, first was the Daily Mirror Pop Club trip to Paris, February 17th and 2 nights at the Wembley Arena, 10th,11th May. Why I didn't go to any Hammersmith Odeon gig's, is beyond me, as I couldn't stand Wembley.
