Love the tracks used as b-sides for the Army album and really loved My Baby. The notation and melody and lyrics made that one stick out WhenI heard it. I thought won't listen to that again. But as dreadful as it was it was better than stuff that made In the army. This was not Status Quo but Francis Rossi's substandard Quo.

Is the 10 songs quoted the complete track listing?
From memory i seem to recall at least one other song - was one called "999" ?

I've done my best with it. Does anyone know the original source of who recorded it? I did all I could to remove the noise but it was affecting the vocals and overall sound too much. Includes CD artwork > Rick Parfitt, Recorded Delivery <
Edit: There's an issue with the link, reuploading it now.

I honour your points, FW, but I was there in the 80s and the 60s, and I have a pretty broad pop-based sensibility as well as rock, and I know any rock band worth its salt plays a range of music, and the tracks on YouTube are not rock, or even a bit rocky. I remember Francis saying in the 80s, about Connie Francis "It's all called rock now", or something of that kind. That is as close as it gets. But Rick himself started with cabaret and general pop, and went back there at the drop of a hat. Only, to my ears, that was more authentic and not all the flim flam. They seem to have psyched themselves into a poor corner in the 80s. PS Yes I should have hit quote

There's still some noise on the tracks but there's only so much you can do trying to clean it up without completely ruining it sound wise... and don't forget someones recorded these using a tape recorded, minus the extra bonus tracks.

Rather than the record company just issue the album as it was recorded I'd rather the tapes were handed over to a decent producer and everything apart from Rick's vocals and guitar were scrapped and it was re-recorded as a tribute but with all present and past members of Quo playing on it, a mix and match so not necessarily Frantic Four but a real coming together of Quo as a tribute to an amazing man, so the final album sounds like Quo not poppy as Pip Williams had it. I had wondered about that, a "Made In Heaven" type album. There may also be some Rick vocal only tracks in the vaults unfinshed. Don't know what you could do with those. Now would it be OK to use Richie for rhythm on those? or would that be out of the question.

Should really be an all Quo album... no dislike for Richie, I just think it'd be more fitting to have just past/present members playing on it

I was only thinking of any tracks which had no Rhythm guitar from Rick and Richie to me would be a better person to add that. As he would sound more like Rick's rhythm than Francis would if it was just him doing it.

There's a reason it was never released. It's shite. Let's not kid ourselves on here. His cover of Neil Young's "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" is feckin awful. Some of the tracks are absolute stinkers, but many of them are great tracks just over produced.

Yeah and as we know tracks like Keep Me Guessing and Late Last Night were written in the FF era or just after 77-79 period.

My first contribution to a Quo forum for about a decade can be my attempt at making one of these tracks sound how I imagine it would if it became a B-side like the others. Obviously crap source to begin with = crap end quality, but deal with it. slightly higher quality original and I reckon this could sound damn good.. Miss My Baby - www.sendspace.com/file/dxumdq
