I think the Recorded Delivery tracks were recorded at RAK and Chipping Norton Studios. Produced by Pip Williams - musicians: Pip Williams, John Edwards, Jeff Rich, Micky Moody, Andy Bown and a couple more...

Not too sure on the location of WHERE it was recorded, but I'd have to say somewhere in the UK. When; Probably started working on it when Quo broke up. Players; Jeff Rich, John Rhino Edwards, Pip Williams... not too sure who else because Pete Kircher and Andy Bown were both working with Rossi on his solo album. Rick did a lot of his own backing vocals, but there could be a female voice in there somewhere. Would have been very interesting if Rick had been working with John & Alan instead of Jeff & Rhino ...

If you listen carefully to this video, someone asks about solo albums and Francis takes a swipe at Rick about his. This was in 84 so it was at least in the planning stage if not partly in the can.

35 years ago. Time to give up touring. As lack of foresight about their industry goes, they were up there with the leaders. Rick said later he thought it would be much easier to go on being successful than it actually was. Alan it seemed worked really hard at it but had a run of bad luck on top of the difficulties. Francis came out of the melee with the valuables. Whether he planned that, or whether fate favoured him, I don't know. I suspect a bit of both. And with Iain Jones lurking in the background ... whatever else Jones was (and I don't know) he certainly didn't lack for lazer vision.

So can we/I assume then that RD wasn't released because SQ didn't break up after EoTR etc ? [but just kept on digging up the dead horse and kept on flogging it]

There are a lot of errors in that book. Francis' solo album was never released either so there was no way of seeing whether it had done well or not. I think they (Quo) were under contract to do some more albums so that's where the record companies saw the money. They saw Rick and Frame as the 'faces' of Quo and, effectively, their hands were forced to do another album - almost under duress. However, this all panned out rather well for them despite what anyone on here thinks. The rest, as they say, is history...
