Just wondering if Rossi's comments when playing live are tongue in cheek or something else, At Cardiff show just before Gerdundula he was chatting about Leon and his drum etc when he came out with comment "you might need to start looking for another job next year"...? Tongue in cheek or sly dig

He's joking about it's supposed to be their last tour. Duh - Got shot of JC - Got shot of Alan, behind his back, at the 2nd attempt - Told Rick he was recording Army or else he wouldn't do Quo anymore while Parfitt was on the brink of losing everything - Turned his back on every fan that made him what he was - Fell out with everyone, including Bob Young and Matt Letley - Insulted Alan, JC and every fan with his comments on the reunions - Shat all over the legacy of one of the best bands the UK produced, by recording below par music, that fuck all people like - Turned that band into a joke, with the help of his manager, by doing tacky stunts even Jordan and Peter Andre wouldn't do - Numerous incidents in his personal life - Fell out with almost every musician he was EVER friends with, outside of the band This list goes on....I'm not even having a go at him because they're practically all facts I just listed and the man would admit to at least half of them himself.. This is a very serious question, for you and everyone like you: Why do people, like you and others, feel the need to defend every single thing he says and does? For some reason, people with your mindset, need to defend him at all costs and turn every bad thing he says and does into a good thing.
Is it actual obsession with the man that you are afraid of thinking anything bad against him, in case you burst a bubble or something? Have you been brainwashed by publicity stunts, management jargon etc etc? I'm honestly curious to find out because, Manchester United and music are basically the two loves of my life....I fucking hate Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Guns N Roses and would never defend them, with the bad things they say or do but, I love the club and love the music that band produced so I can't understand this mindset I'll never forget some of the posts on the official MB some time ago. Rossi was right to get someone else other than Alan because Alan's moustache made him look like a wimp and gay and the first night of the reunion gigs was shite after basing it on a 30 second clip of the end of BBJ, which in turn made Rossi "right" about the whole thing. That's the sort of mindset I'm talking about

Maybe because the people that defend him say nothing negative about him? IMO there is more negative things spewing from his gob lately than there is positive.

It means I don't have to bullshit myself or others and I'm as honest as they come...Which probably has gotten me in trouble with women from previous relationships and family members but, what's the point in being delusional and dishonest? It's what has the world ruined sadly I just speak the truth about Rossi....He admitted he shafted Alan and is driven by money and would whore himself out if it made him a quid...If he's admitted to it, it means I'm not speculating or lying. Your answer may be valid but, that wasn't the time or place to be saying things like that

See, this is exactly what I'm talking about...You're getting agitated now in your defence of Rossi. It's actually ridiculous. Even throwing a "subtle" insult in there at me too. Astonishing stuff tbh The mere fact that you can't see, joking or not, it was an inappropriate thing to say, given the time and place, is pretty shocking. Difference is, Rick would never say anything like that and never has. But, I would also give him shit if he did say it....Like the times I gave him grief over the incident in 1985, his drug taking, his laziness in the song writing department in the 90s etc etc If only United had your defence...

OK freewilly , you've made your point. Can you not let others have their view about Francis? I'm disappointed in how things have turned out. But I also think life is never as cut and dried as you're making out.

What Rossi says now is neither true, or marketing hype, or maybe Occaisional ly tongue-in-cheek.. But not really worth reading.
He's let his mouth say owt for last 10 years, constantly contradicting himself, and then telling you black is white, then saying the opposite.
"FF never happen", then it does, TWICE is one of the more classic examples. It eas all about money in the end.
His comments are just pointless white noise now. No point reading them them anymore. Which I don't.

But I also think life is never as cut and dried as you're making out. TBF, I wasn't actually having a go at Francis. I just basically listed the things he says he practically admitted to doing and asked why does everyone still defend everything he does? It doesn't make any sense to me at all I just asked a question as to why everything the man does and says, seems to be defended by the "usual suspects" It was highly inappropriate for him to say that to Leon, given where and when it took place. Leon is a session musician. I don't like or hate the guy but, imagine how he felt when that was said to him, joking or not, on stage, in front of all those people? On a side note, I should have called myself "Big Boss" instead of "FreeWilly" Big Boss is one of my fave characters....Bollix anyways
