I am extremely frustrated when I read the various supposed fans determine that the current line up is not Status Quo.
Every band has personnel changes, especially if they have been around for a while. The band name normally stays the same.
You either like the band or you don't. If you don't then what value are you adding bitching and sniping about the band members, especially Rossi.
Ironically, this only really happened after the Frantic Four did their two tours.
Give the boys a break and either support the band or move on.

What irritates me most is that there were two and now there are three members of the most successful incarnation of Status Quo who are still around and, as far as we know, wanting to play as Status Quo but are unable to. The one "original" member that can play as Status Quo is not doing justice to the name in many eyes.

Fucking hell, who or what is this?!
The more people that pop up like you, the more it just reminds me of this
Grim indeed.
Anyways, I'll do what I want. If I like a few tracks off the first acoustic album, I'll say it. If I think the two albums in general are a pile of shite, I'll say it. If I think it's bad form the Francis is still using the name, I'll say it. If I like Rossi's next solo album, I'll say it. If I feel like going to see Rossi's band, I'll go
To sum up, I'll do and say whatever I want to. I don't need to either support the band or fuck off. If I like something, I'll listen to it. If I don't like something I won't listen to it.

I understand why you feel frustrated if you're still enjoying the sound this version of Quo makes. I think if the sound of Quo hadn't shifted, then the anger and frustration over the line-up changes would be less. I was upset when John left but I didn't notice a huge shift in sound when Pete took over on drums. But to my ear, they do sound different now. And to me, they are no longer the Status Quo that I fell in love with. Yes, the bitching gets tedious but its only cos we care.

Issues with the stagnant setlist predate the reunion. As public figures who make public statements what they say is open to debate. I love Status Quo just not the one touring currently.

As I think I said before, just because they stick an MG badge on a cheap Chinese hatchback, it doesn't make it an MG to the connoisseur. It's legally an MG, gets you from A to B like a classic MG and probably does so a lot more smoothly, but it's bland and soulless.

It's been around since I've been following the band, 1999 onwards, but it has been deafening since the Frantic Four tours. Then again, the poster has 8 posts, probably typed in the wrong address instead of Facebook, seems to be where most of this sort of posting goes on.

Like a few said, we'll voice our opinions all we want about Rossi & Co because it isn't Quo. You and many others are stupid to even still see them as Quo. I bet you're one of those that praises everything they do just for the hell of it. Might want to look up a term 'Constructive Criticism' and stop being so self minded telling everyone they should like everything that Rossi & Co, (Quo apparently to some) do.

As the sound changed on record years before it did on stage. They have to sound different now for three reasons, Ricks guitar sound missing, Ricks vocals and harmonies missing and the change in Rossi's guitar sound being different since he changed guitars.

Yes had a similar problem. In 1989 you only had Chris Squire from the classic line up. While Jon Anderson, Bill Buford, Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe. Recorded an album as ABWH. They were more Yes than Chris Squire's Yes. Though they later joined both bands for a tour. Now though we have Yes with no original members.

Happened when John suddenly vanished from QUO , guessing your a young whipper snapper who knows no better , and what STATUS QUO meant to us STATUS QUO fans back then .
