Bad feeling about this. This year of all years. I'm sure he'll be fine IF he does what the doctors tell him

Jack it in Rick...no one will think bad of it As much as I would have liked Quo to carry on forever (preferably reunion line up), I have to agree with you now. Rick, do the right thing and enjoy your retirement with your family. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery x

Hopefully he will make it... not surprised this happened though, one could see it coming... but once a rocker... He'd be better off listening to the docs for a change

I agree with the above comments. Please knock it on the head Rick mate. The last thing any of on this board or any Quo fans from around the world is that you collapse on stage. You to me have been an absolute icon. Please let me remember you from those heady 1970s days and those awesome reunion concerts.

Obviously wish him a full & speedy recovery. How many heart attacks has he had? Wouldn't be surprised to hear that doctors &/or insurers advise/force him to stop touring now. This is the third I think.

Phew... My hero since '75... I totally agree with the above thinkings.... time to take it easy now. I really hope the recovery will be without any complications, and that focus will be on life and family, not the Quo as we know it.

Another thought, maybe Rick's medical history and the effect that has on insurance premiums is the true reason behind the hanging-up of the electrics. It's not the premiums. My strong suspicion, reinforced by Freddie subbing in for him, is that his heart attack is not covered by insurance, therefore the show(s) MUST go on. That must surely knock Status Quo PLC on the head.

You can only take these things so many times and come back. You have to think this is it. Quo without Parfitt isn't a Quo I want to see.
Fingers crossed he recovers to live a long and well deserved retirement.
