To be fair, Quo are in very good company. John Lyden advertised butter not that long ago. Iggy pop, insurance! Alice Cooper, Sky with Ronnie Corbett. I dare say it's not the fact that they're doing an advert that irritates some but the use of THAT song. Again. Probably better to exploit it rather than treat it as a millstone. Look at yourself Mort, still earning money from those Dreadnought High Leg Tanga Briefs you advertised in the 1970's. l left out the Tartan pattern/leather detail to spare you further embarrassment .

What a lot of people have missed is how good Francis' vocal is. His voice sounds better than the 2003 recording. He sounds suspiciously good. There's one high part that barely sounds like him. Autotune/Melodyne/?

Autotune/Melodyne/? I saw him play live on his Tunes and Chat tour and his voice was excellent. So I wasn't surprised by Edd's post. But I haven't listened closely to his voice on the advert which could have been tinkered with too. You could also be right.

Seen some things posted on social networking like “parfitt would be spinning in his grave over this”… Really?? they obviously have short memories of previous commercial tie ins another attempt or excuse by some to blame Francis for everything again..

Someone offers you a deal for cash, you say how much? Everyone has their price, like the Coles deal, I expect they've been well paid for it, hardly have Quo been noted for the 'credibility they never had in the first place' (as Francis said decades ago), their Golden era ended either in 1976 (or 1981) which was also decades ago, it might not please everyone (obviously) but I expect they're over it already

Like it or not it’s put Quo back in the public eye. Nearly 3000 views & 100 comments on this board in 2 days. It’s doing what it’s supposed to do. Advertising & getting across to people. Wait while the 1min 06secs appears on national tv. This is not the point. Can you see AC/DC ever doing this sort of thing? As I said before, if you have a brand, protect it's integrity. This is destroying it, again. But, remember, Rossi sold his green tele, he cares nowt for the brand. It's just not him.

I will not say which. But, I would never do anything to devalue that brand,, in the long term, whatever they pay, you lose.

Just forced myself to watch the video all the way through and it’s actually really well done for what it is. Anyone seen this on TV Yet?

I bought some jeans yesterday, in M&S. And they played 'our tune'. Made me laugh to myself. And then I looked around at the customers, many or even most are old, were enough to remember the original release.

The biggest reason for Quo to release another album: This shouldn't be their last studio recording

Rhino recently said that when the band got together to record it, it was the first time he'd seen Francis in 2 years
