I expect John Fogerty will be happy with the pension top up too.
Sadly I don't think Fogerty owns this one any more.
EDIT! WHOA! WRONG WRONG WRONG! It looks like he just got his songs back last week!
Fogerty treated his band members like crap.

They did a few Coles ads noizeboyz and it was a hugely successful marketing campaign for Coles. The M&S ad is so similar to the Coles concept that I knew there must be some connection. Turns out the CEO of M&S, Stuart Machin, spent a decade at Coles in a very senior position before returning to the UK fairly recently!

Quo have zero interest in protecting their legacy, which they trashed years ago. If you have a great brand, protect it. I blame the management. and blame Rossi for selling the brand down the toilet for "Showbiz" in reality he has totally destroyed the legacy of Quo of what they were about in 70's. They have no creditability or respect would never see The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple etc doing something so tacky as this latest advert or the Coles ads or appearing on Coronation bloody street. You can see where Alan was coming from when Margarita Time was released he cared about the name and brand and the legacy of the band. Quo are seen now as a laughing stock more then ever you have the casual fanbase who follow Francis's "Quo" band. Quo are seen by marketing teams as a go to band to hire because they will sign up too it for some quick easy money, creditability is waaay down on the list.

Has anyone noticed that the guitar solo has been taken from the original 1977 version and pasted into this new recording? I was having a closer listen and not convinced that it is the original - there's some bends in there that aren't from 1977 i'm pretty sure?

This debate is worthy of a full-length book about artistic credibility and commercialism based around a case study of Quo!
