A bit obscure maybe, but i was on youtube and found the two songs from the single (allegedly) released by Pete in 1974. They sounded nothing like the supposed Pete's voice on that Rock 'n' roll floorboards demo. So i done a little digging and found this. www.lpcdreissues.com/item/a-rose-by-any-other-nameIt's a cd by a guy called john Carter and singles he's supposed to have released under other names, Pete being one of them, which if true Pete must of at least known about, probably agreed to, as his name and photo are both on the sleeve of the single. Here are the songs. Let it roll. Rockin' lady. So is it Pete or not? Any of you know anything about this? Are there any other examples of Pete's vocal?

"Honeybus drummer Pete Kircher" would be our Pete.

I think this is the only other recording of Pete singing So, is that Shanghai then or just Pete and a couple of mates? I'm just going by the photos that pitch up now and again. He's got an excellent voice. And who wrote the song? The credit is given to Rossi/Frost. Did they give it to Pete or was it the other way round?

Brian Alterman, who was second guitarist to Mick Green (a familiar Quo-related name) in Shanghai with Pete wrote it.

Thanks for that gav. I wasn't aware there had been another thread 👍 Looks like Rossi/Frost grabbed the song for themselves because there was no songwriting copyright. Or some arrangement was made at any rate. Although Parfitt/Williams would have seemed a more likely fit given that Rick sang it and it's more of an out and out rocker. No wonder Pete got pi$$ed off

The credits on Army are wrong, regardless, for that track as it is credited to Parfitt / Williams on the 2008 Japanese fanclub souvenir CD.
