Slade is another criminally under captured. The Earls Court gig should be out and looking like this TRex one but no. Nod is another not wanting old stuff out.

I was going to mention Slade in passing but I wasn't sure of my facts. The early to mid-70's is becoming to sound like some sort of black hole in time where all the best acts were never properly captured on film. To be fair, no one really thought of filming anything because there wasn't the medium to show it on. You'd almost never get a gig on TV; not until Queen came along. I do recall watching The Who play The Valley, Charlton Athletic's ground, on telly. No idea why they showed that (or when). Probably BBC 2. I thought Quo were almost unique but I'm now finding they are far from it.

Also, there is proper footage from the Friday night of the Reading Rock festival 1978 featuring The Jam and Sham 69 amongst others. But on the Saturday when Quo headlined (They were the biggest band on the whole weekend btw) there is fcuk all footage. Why?

That T-Rex footage is incredible. It feels like it was recorded this week..apart from the flares, loon pants, sideburns and stacked shoes, obvs!
