Not sure what the band or management have in store for 2022 regarding anything being released. Doubt if we will get a new album but not to say that can be ruled out? Was hoping for more deluxe editions to come out but the chap (sorry forgot name) who compiles them said the record company didn’t respond to him for the Live alive Quo, Heavy Traffic and Riffs ones. They were near enough ready to go..

I don't think there will be anything specific to promote in terms of recorded material or releases. I think those in control of such things will no doubt feel that the band being back on the road at all after recent events will be enough to put bums on seats. They could well be right. I'd also never see them promoting these deluxe editions either. They never have in the past, preferring to focus on new material or one of the endless compilations that tend to come out. Incidentally, we must be due one of these again soon (groan). But they're always an easy option. Churn out old stuff in new packaging and give it a fancy name. I get the impression from interviews since Backbone was released there may not be any new material to come in the future. Although, the disclaimer of 'never say never' tends to get banded about. Just in case someone has a change of mind

I just saw in the official store some merch with the text ”1968…” and wonder why they choose to higlight that year now? It’s not even an anniversary - 54 years? Or am I missing some clue here? I do hope they’ll do as Stones did with their ”From the vaults” releases, and start to release some old live recordings (the four 1975 gigs, all three Glasgow 1976 gigs, the entire Tokyo Quo gig, the Hammersmith 1979 gig) on vinyl!

Heavy Traffic on vinyl at long last would do me - maybe even a RSD release

You’d think they will come up with something as it’s the 60th anniversary, surely Porter and Rossi won’t miss a trick to make a few quid off the back of that Cheers

I’d love a vinyl version of Heavy Traffc and a deluxe cd version.
If they had Heavy Traffic T-shirts in the store too at the same time it would make sense to realise all that product this year to commemorate the 20th anniversary of one of Quo’s most important albums

Unfortunately the record company or whoever didn’t get back to him so everything on hold regarding that one. Live alive Quo was expected to get same treatment too. All explained here if you spool down a bit.. statusquo.boards.net/thread/15701/roadhouse-medley-alive-august-audio
