I'd put him below those backing singers of the early 80's albums as well. Now they were bad.

Rhino's singing voice isn't anywhere near Alan's in my opinion Your right. Ones in Australia the other ones not. Example of a joke I can deal with . Yea I know I should have said "isn't anything like"... occasionally I express something wrong in English cos it's not my native language and sometimes I think too much in my native language and translate something wrong, but for someone who taught himself the English language completely on his own I think I am doing a pretty ok job.

Rhino's singing voice isn't anywhere near Alan's in my opinion Or anywhere close as a songwriter. I'd certainly take issue with that one. I personally think he's maybe the best songwriter Quo have ever had. In terms of actual "songs" I mean. Although Rick did come up with some lyrical gems. As for the vocal thing, I don't see a similarity myself. Rhino was hired as a bass player. He sings perfectly adequately but was never taken on to sing lead at any stage. But harmonies certainly. I was quite surprised at how good Alan was during the reunion tour. I was never a huge fan of his vocals but he nailed every song he sung. And he sang quite a few. I just think Quo have been very lucky in having so many members who can actually hold a tune. And this now includes the drummer. Or maybe luck didn't have any part to play

They are so poor to my hear making the band now unlistenable live. Yes if they had to something with Rick's departure but he's possibly the worst singer in the band now. But it no longer matters to me as I will not see them again. What they offer is no longer what I want. As for song writing. I simply don't think much of his songs. He may be the best allrounder in terms of writing a whole song, but I suggest Andy is much the best all round song writer as you can actually tell he has a style, that for good or ill has changed the nature of the band from Whatever you want onwards. As for outside the band although I have had the misfortune of hearing his work outside of the band , I will not say its poor its just not what I want to hear especially once he approaches a micro phone. However as ever you pays your money you makes your choice.

I asked first lol. From what I’ve heard he’s the worst singer in the band, now and since it formed. But what do you think ? And the worst songwriter too. God his stuff is bad.
