Not really Phil mate, RTYD has its moments il give you that but its not quite there though i absolutely love One Man Band, for me HT has that "old school" type feel about it , i can only put that down to Bob being back on board & writing with FR again, Yeh the production maybe could & shouldve been a bit better but they came very close to being the Quo i love again on this album & i loved it - & then they blew it with subsequent releases

I prefer RTYD over HT. I know I am in the minority but HT is an album I never could get into. It just sounds cold and sterile to me, can't help it.

Remember that discussion years and years ago? There are some songs on it that I like (Blues and Rhythm, All stand up, Solid Gold, Jam side down, Rhythm of life). But the rest ? Nah, . Especially stuff like Green, Another day, I don't remember anymore, Digging Burt Bacharach, Do it again, the Oriental is not what i'd consider to be good quo songs. The problem with the whole album for me back then and nowadays even more is that in most places it sounds to me like they were trying too hard to recover the glory days and that's why most of it sounds cold and sterile to me. Time definitely hasnt been kind to the album either for me. Also am less enthousiast about the songs that I do like nowadays and they are more like ok songs to me but nothing outstanding at all. But yes, based on the songs that I do like I suppose you could say only half of it. However, I really prefer UTI and QPQ.

Remember that discussion years and years ago? I can't think of a Quo Lite album where I like more than half the songs, but generally the ones I like, I like a good bit.
