All of Rick's lyrics are very autobiographical.

Whatever you want.... it wasn’t what I wanted.
A return to form to their earlier recordings, not for me. Although one of the better albums after Andy became part of the song writing team.
Whatever you want is a great rock single with an excellent intro.
There is plenty on the album Im not keen on. Never liked Your smiling face or Living on an island. The latter is twee and on it’s time as it’s song writer would have said. The lyrics are much better than the sugary sweet tune.
Runaway is alright.
Shady lady has a great riff. Shame they didn’t play it live.
Come rock with me and Rockin on are alright. Liked them better when I was younger but now they are a bit plodding.
Who asked you and Breaking away are however top drawer. Expecially the latter.
It’s a pretty good album. Great, not for me. It stands on the shoulders of greatness.

I've revisited this album a few times over the course of the month, but still find few redeeming features in Come Rock With Me / Rockin' On. Otherwise a very good album, though not a great one, & a bit of return to form after the previous two efforts.
