For those who are interested in the bigger picture, Lynyrd Skynyrd have been on their farewell tour since May 4th this year. Special guests for the US tour include Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr., Bad Company, Charlie Daniels Band, the Marshall Tucker Band. 38 Special, Blackberry Smoke and Blackfoot. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/lynyrd-skynyrd-plot-farewell-tour-201750/On the Canadian leg its The Randy Bachman band (guitarist from Bachman Turner Overdrive). And in the UK Quo. I suppose we can view this negatively but its probably good deal financially as they're not carrying the tour. From the list of other supporting guests, I don't think this is that shabby really. But I accept that we all see things differently.

Should be a great night of music, people may not like the current line up of either band but they're keeping the music alive and giving thousands of people enjoyment and happy memories, for me that's what it's always been about.

I've always been a big fan of the southern boogie rock bands, probably why I loved Quo when I first heard them. I saw Molly Hatchet and another band of former members this year and the crowd went wild, or as wild as aging knees and hips allow.
