I loved the Georgia Satellites, their albums were all great, loved the guitar interplay and the songs were just good old fashioned rock, shame that drugs really messed things up for them just as they were really getting into their stride.

Both have one founding member left. I went to see a local brass band recently. Over 100 years old. Not a single original member.

This is the future of FRQ,support slots and festivals for retro(fading) bands/artists Cheers The future?? They were performing this role for Queen & Rod Stewart decades ago. Yes, but they were stadium shows!! Never thought I'd see the day of Quo supporting another rock band in an arena tour or less. Especially a band that until recently had a smaller UK following. I accept they've had plenty of low festival billings but this indoor tour is a new thing for Quo That said, it's quite tempting! Love the headliners and have never seen them

Pity there's not an OGWT appearance by Quo in 1975...

At best Quo supporting Lynyrd Skynyrd in Arenas summer 2019 followed by a handful of theatres in the winter? Hammersmith etc?
I'm a Skynyrd fan and am very tempted to go to this, but damn it doesn't feel right.

For any original-Skynyrd fans, their ProBoards community is WELL worth a visit and signing up to. There's an insane amount of info on there, much from people who knew the guys in the original band. Truly fascinating.

What a feckin great gig this would be....if it was 1975. Funny you should mention that year. Look what popped up on facebook. Along with this photo which doesn't show Lynyrd Skynyrd, it did say that Quo supported them 4 times on their US tour that year. This photo is of them in a saloon in Nevada.
