Back to Back was released on 25th November and Marguerita Time (3rd single) was released a week later. If it is a different mix of MT, is it not more likely that it is a 'single' mix rather than an early mix? Or does the mix used on Cannon and Ball sound different to the single that was released? mix is different to the single, and I think the single was released prior to them appearing on the show, so it's odd that they had a new mix. Maybe there was a mix up somewhere. Got my coat.

Running Out of Time is the next 'single' apparently.

great song like the irish feel to it [I'm kinda sorry mm1972] but I'm honour and duty bound to do this...]
You're just going to have to explain what [to you] an 'irish feel' is - because if you think this is it, then you're so wrong it's no wonder you think it's a 'great song...' [Imho, it ain't - its merely 'Country-by-numbers', a la FR]
I despair. I really do. Do other countries have a 'feel' as well? I mean I'd struggle to think of something with an english feel.

Interesting video but you know WYP is one of the hits from the FF period that I cannot abide. Though successful in the charts (no 3?) it just always sounded so very poppy and kitsch (i just hate the rhyming 'runny nosin' line), especially after the great tracks WYW and LOAI from the previous year. Maybe an unpopular opinion but I felt from 1980 on the singles became progressively less rock and more pop. Number 2 in the UK.

Probably in a minority of 1 here, but my favourite from the album is 'Any Way You Like It'. Something irresistable and laid back about it, and the little guitar riff sounds fresh and kinda neat to my ears.

Unfortunately, the more ill and less mobile Alan becomes, the more bitter he will get, whether he realises it or not. That's quite a burden to carry around.
He seemed to be musically active, or relatively prolific up until the mid to late 90's. Then i think the next time we saw him play live was at the Bon Scott memorial gig nearly 10 years ago now - correct me if i'm wrong.
So there is a lengthy gap from just before the turn of the century. Maybe he was doing other stuff more behind the scenes, maybe that was the beginning of the decline in his health, as he appeared to have lost a lot of weight by the time of the Bon Scott gig.
It's sad to see the decline in him since last year's Minehead gig. Maybe he can still play bass a bit but didn't consider it worth the money having it flown over.
