Mistakes on the Live! album are often mentioned by one band member we all know....
....but I don't remember noticing any of them.
Are there any?

Not to sound like a prat (anymore than what I usually do) but, the "untrained ear" won't pick up on it. I was in Manchester for the 2013 FF gig and Alan made mistakes in Railroad but, the notes he hit were part of the A chord so it went unnoticed. Rossi was hitting bum notes on some solos and hitting pinched harmonics when he didn't mean to and obviously the over bending to notes that aren't in the scale on DWMT To over analyse a gig because of mistakes is absolutely stupid. It happens everyone. I've seen some of the best in the world give great solos and give some abysmal ones. If you make a connection to that audience, if you create a moment or a memory they hold onto, then it's job done. As far as that gig goes, yeah there is one or two but, absolutely nothing major at all. It's fantastic

If anything, it will be minor mistakes... nothing too noticeable.

Haven't heard the album for a long time
From memory... Musically there isn't anything of significance Alan sings the 3rd verse instead of the 2nd on Bye Bye Johnny?
....but who cares.....it was live Quo nearing the height of their powers

It matters not one bit to me with any band and mistakes made. I don't know why anybody would even care. What I don't like though is when frontmen start talking and never seem to stop with the verbal diarrhea. It ruins the flow.

A live gig without hilarious bum notes is like frites without mustard.

Cheers for the answers. Is it plausible then that Francis really does only hear the mistakes and can't enjoy it for that reason?
I'm tempted to say he just doesn't like it now because he's not into the heavier side of the band...but I don't think he ever liked it. I tend to think "mistakes" is not the real reason he doesn't like it.
I think I saw him quoted as saying he couldn't understand why fans enjoyed listening to it.

Spud makes a small mistake on DWMT; I guess that he dropped one of the drumsticks, but in just a second he grabbed another one and kept on playing. That’s exactly such things that makes the live album even better and more honest IMO, the best live album ever!
