BREAKING NEWS!!!! I was at the Leamington JCQ gig tonight and during his customary speech, John said he'd been talking to Alan and they were hoping to get together next year!! He got a great cheer and said something about.... " doing something like Minehead"!?!? He didn't say any details but maybe he meant McVention or a new Quo Day event somewhere perhaps more central? Probably too soon for the Diamond in Feb. Obviously it would be fantastic if it happens

tramper, wolfman or anyone else near Sheffield... did you go to the JCQ gig there last night? Did John say anything else about it?

JCQ jump on a plane and gig in Oz with Alan... it’d go down a storm.

I must be a small minority as it no longer bothers me if he comes or not. It’s not Status Quo.

I must be a small minority as it no longer bothers me if he comes or not. It’s not Status Quo. No it's obviously not 100% Quo but they deliver some of their older classic music with the added authenticity of Spud (and now maybe, hopefully, Nuff occasionally?!?) and gives a good feeling to the fans that want to go. It's not going to be for everyone, same as CQ....

Mind you so has CQ for donkeys years.

And their playing has sharpened the whole sound. Of course its not Quo but still a good gig.
