Putting aside the obvious appeal of the convention and as a totally separate thing altogether - there is nothing wrong at all with Neil Diamond. He's a music legend - at least in my opinion. I have a few albums of his and he is someone I certainly wouldn't turn down a ticket to see live.
The reaction he received at Glastonbury a few years back was amazing and speaks for his appeal across a few generations. He is a stage entertainer who knows how to master a crowd while still keeping his music credible and ageless, despite his own advanced age. Francis could take a few tips from him as to how it is done properly.

I get the impression that the throng who attend Glastonbury are clueless, fakes who would scream and shout, wave there arms, pretend to sing etc etc at anything or anybody that appears on stage in front of them !!! Just my view of course.

Just my view of course. It's the modern world, innit. Rather than loving Neil Diamond, people are loving themselves loving Neil Diamond - it's not 100% real. A lot of people have been manipulated into self-consciousness and on to self- obsession with the tools of the day....social media mainly. One of the biggest phenomena to hit humanity in recent decades, for sure. And it's only gonna get weirder. Just my view of course!

I would go if I wasn't in Sydney!! Ironic that I consider a Quo Convention more 'Quo' than the so called Status Quo band with Mr. Rossi!! Feel the same. I can't believe how I have absolutely zero interest in seeing Quo during this Oz short tour. I've really enjoyed the CQ tours since '97 but I guess with the iconic RP no longer around I just don't have the desire to take a few days off work to see them. This Minehead weekend would be a ripper.

People are obsessed about how they appear on social media. I don't care for how it's evolving. It's all superficial nonsense, and very little valuable content.

...On the other hand some people simply enjoy Neil Diamond....
Its got pointless posting on this forum and now pointless reading increasing sections of it as well - its become more and more like the old one with aliases, spam, deliberate generating of arguments etc for the sake of getting childish tribal reaction and support. But that is not the fault of the administrator(s) who I have often stated appreciation.
It was worth coming back for the sad loss of Rick obviously, and to converse with some of the decent folk that are certainly on here. But there is nothing left that is especially enjoyable or pleasant. Over and out for the second and final time

Over and out for the second and final time Oh dear, sorry you haven't been enjoying the MB recently and it's a shame you felt you had to leave altogether Maybe some time out could have helped? Anyway I hope you come back one day. There will still be Quo things to discuss until the definite end of the road......

And thanks for your vote of confidence in the admin/mods. For those still reading and posting there is only one alias here and we all have spotted who they are days ago. And I don't see any spam. But agree there are some who like a bit of a spat from time to time. We do our best to keep those to a minimum without making the place too dull either. And I like Neil Diamond too.

I’ve not been on and only just read this thread. Really sorry to see you go. To those posting in Quo threads, anything wildly off topic is getting binned.
