Been listening to this again after many skips over years, am really liking this track now, although falls down a little on the chorus, but its well worth a few listens. A good song ona fairly average album. Vocals are perfect for this song

I like it but I like All that Counts is Love better. They make a good pairing.

My brother & I took his kids camping a few years back and Familiar Blues came on a cd compilation I made for the car radio. The kids loved it, good times. They are all grown up now, lol. They listen to Eminem these days.

Its the kind of song that has a good basic idea but feels incomplete - it needed an extra trick to elevate it further.
I like the country rock feel and melodies of ATCIL. The kind of song many fans hate because its too lightweight and poppy but there are times where less is more. This is one of them - so the other way around to Familiar Blues.

I wish I'd listened more when it came out, but skipped it endlessly as I thought lyrics might get a bit self indulgent(which they didn't).

Both ATCIL and FB are 2/5 songs in my book - below average...
