Who do they actually pay to do these fucking awful designs? cause they are wasting their money! And how much do you want to bet that it's just as bad as the Live at The BBC version, with Rossi's chats removed and the jig section of Roadhouse Blues being fucked up After my severe disappointment at Led Zeppelin at the BBC 15 or 20 years ago, I am not holding my breath, but we await your review! At least it's just the one gig, hopefully they wont' lose too much of it. No excuse on CD anyway.

What a week that's going to be in October, 13th-16th The Minehead Weekend, followed by the release of the 3xLP NEC '82 the following Friday. They're releasing it the week AFTER the fan club convention ..... the organisation (not) strikes again

Hi everyone, Slowtrain here, I bought the 1982 Live at NEC on vinyl in 1982 and I've never been happy with production quality. I'm not going to go through the lengthy technical lingo, but it's a very poor recording, especially if you compare it to the 1977 LIVE album. Chalk n Cheese actually. The LIVE album was a genuine release... no overdubs and no studio magic added afterwards. Whereas the NEC 1982 gig is overly polished like their albums at the time, which ruined it. Bother ... Edit: comment about Andy Pearce noted!

Ah. THAT's why I used to like that ... I can't believe I had the luck to live through gigs like that in my lifetime.

They're honestly not doing this release to its full potential... A BluRay release with the gig in full, BBC interviews and soundcheck/rehearsals prior to the gig would go wonderfully with it. But no one tends to watch them, so I wonder why they've just released a DVD then?

Either way I've told him that a lot of people would like a DVD release of it... Cause if there's going to be a DVD release of old stuff, it won't be a fucking compilation DVD where half of it is missing like what they might be doing. It might sound a bit extreme, but, the only chance of getting a decent release of old stuff will take for Rossi and Porter to kick the bucket... then the company can do what they want... just like when Prince died. He was against social media and having his videos and youtube, and that soon took a u-turn

What do we think this DVD compilation that they're thinking of doing next year would contain?
It can't be promo videos, so soon after Accept No Substitute, so I'm thinking it would be a compilation of live clips?

I had this gig on cassette taped from Tommy Vance's Friday rock show and it sounded raw and live.It even had the Rossi guitar part that filled in from the end of 4500 Times until the start of BFM.I recall Rossi saying something like "See if we can get you to make a bit of noise like you did before we came out..a thing called Hold You Back".

Fantastic news. This release has been long overdue
Thought the 10 track official release was always pointless as it only filled half the cd and didn't even feature 4500 or RHB but this is great news that it's finally being released as the full concert and the price is very reasonable too, unlike the BBC thing they did a few years ago with the full gig on, can't remember how much it was but I'm pretty sure it was three figures.
I hope they don't delay the release, got my hopes up now.
