Hi All, Although I have never really been a fan I do like a few of their tracks and last night I watched an excellent documentary based on the fact that many people say the band had at least another great album in them before the acrimonious split. Listening to the tracks this guy has picked for his own personal interpretation of what could have been their last album has made me revaluate their music and want to give all their solo music a listen to.
Picking music that 'John/Paul/George and Ringo' released post 'Beatles' then bringing them together for an album that IMPO would be well worth buying if available ? I have to add the music has shown me personally that I missed some cracking albums because of preconceptions about the 'Beatles' but that is understandable when listening to the 'Quo'...

Of the solo efforts, Ringo was best. Pardon the pun.

Hi Geoff, Cheap trick did a great performance of The Beatles's Sgt Pepper album in it's entirely a few years back. It got filmed & is out on dvd, but rare to get. Sgt Pepper was their best album, bringing Beatles solo songs onto a album sounds like a Rossi thing to do.

I always felt the hype over Sgt Pepper was somewhat overblown. I personally rate Revolver as their best album, with Abbey Road a close second. Here's an interesting take on the latter :-

Hi All, I remembered most of the tracks that 'Charles Hazelwood' had picked hearing them again just brought them back into my conscious, they basically made wonder weather I should give the bands later music a listen to, that and their own solo stuff as I previously never bothered.
The nearest was a couple of wings albums 'BOTR and BTTE' and a 'JL' single 'Imagine the 80's re-release, so the first thing I am going to do is download the tracks in the order this chap has on his 'Black Album' and move on from there. Anybody any suggestions as what to buy and what to avoid ?
rockonquo - Daren, that's another 'CT' album I always want to buy but forget about and buy other bands cd's, mainly though I always put it on a present suggestion list just like the 'QSP' album good job 'Fathers Day' is just around the corner...
