Fool If You Think It's Over - Chris Rea
Driving Home For Christmas - warms the cockles of your heart
Dancing With Strangers - I bought the album in 1987. I love the guy's music and voice.
He should be an icon in the UK and worshipped, I get the feeling he is quiet and humble.

" I packed up my John Lee Hooker records and out the door I went" George Thorogood 'One Bourbon One Scotch 'n' One Beer
I saw George at Bryant's Manly Vale in 1982, that's on the Northern Beaches in Sydney. His white teeth and smile were illuminating.

The Strawbs had a hit song in 1973 called PART OF THE UNION, an anti union song unfortunately. Good to sing a long to until I understood the lyrics.
Unions are there to protect us from the fascists of capitalism. Uphold decent work conditions and a liveable wage to provide for your family whilst we produce the massive profits for the overlords and they play golf or relax on their yachts.

Hi All, Fleetwood Mac-The Dream/Chris Rea-Blue Jukebox-Rd To Hell Pt2...
slowtrain7 - Unfortunately all the unions have failed in what you described with bitter infighting and their leaders looking after themselves for the most. If they had looked out for the everyday worker you would have more rights than we do currently, it is just so unbelievable that 100's of years of hard fought for workers rights have been negotiated away by the Unions and the Labour leadership sadly whose only interested has been one-upmanship IMPO.
If they had you would not have as we do now for example No contract working/No right's when fired for any reason especially if you have not been at any firm for 2 years/A living wage not minimum as it stands at the moment etc.etc. Unions are only as good as their leaders and shop stewards.
I know through experience that if you have a shop steward that does not pull his weight the members lose out. Ours was a lousy bloke whose only interest was the amount of redundancy he was getting so he could move on to the next job. This after it was announced that BOC was closing it's Rugby depot down, as far as I am aware they are meant to negotiate a package for union members ? (Please correct if wrong).

Geoff, unfortunately you are 100% correct. I've been told that I'm an idealist. Looking back at what I typed in my post, I omitted the words " supposed to" in front of protect and uphold. My apologies comrade.

Hi All, Chris Rea-The Best Of/Vangelis-Odyssey....
slowtrain7 - No need to apologise matey it was just my opinion that's all , it's just that it seems to be getting worse as time goes by and the workers are having their rights slowly whittled down and will eventually disappear in my view.
If truth be known Union infighting/The Labour party/Uncontrolled Immigration/Illegal employment of illegal immigrants/Greed for more profit by the companies that employ those people and other factors all go towards the government abusing the system that was set up to protect whoever from Doctors to Labourers sadly and nobody cares about this...
