Yes, I've always thought it a shame that this post-Gabriel line-up didn't stay together long enough to do more before Hackett left. I'm off to see him again on Monday, mainly playing material from his time with Genesis. I feel that they changed more after he left than after Gabriel left.

Hi All, Chris Rea-Dancing with strangers...
dennis - I thought they also changed into a more business minded band again after Hackett left, I love TTWT but definitely not anything like what the previous output, at the end of the day they are in the business to make money so it all turned out alright in the end, unlike the tripe that has come from Quo over the years with the switch to poprock... doh
Genesis are another band that I always wished to see live and never did sadly but have all their output, oddly never really got into the Phil Collins output at the time but have all his output recently after I sampled a couple of albums.
Have most of 'Mike and The Mechanics' albums on cd, a few 'Steve Hackett Lp's and Watcher Of The Skies Genesis Revisited Cd' (That a gob full ) None of Tony Banks output and a few Peter Gabriel Cd's just like many other groups I back buy when the price is good a great way to discover new bands as well...

Great musicians involved with Genesis over the years, both in the studio & on stage. Steve Hackett has also got a great band playing with him & is well worth seeing live - they were absolutely outstanding this evening just gone.
I've never seen Mike & the Mechanics, although I have seen the superb Paul Carrack a couple of times over the years & he includes a fair selection of his work with them in his set list.

Kasabian - For Crying Out Loud
Very much a 50/50 album. Some good tracks on it but some very forgettable ones too. IMHO.
Standout tracks for me are: God Bless This Acid House Comeback Kid
Quite liked: Put Your Life On It Twentyfourseven Good Fight Sixteen Blocks

Deep Purple - Infinite
Oh dear, classic Purple it ain't.
The majority of the lyrics are awful. There's a few good riffs hidden on the album but I'll let you find them.
I really can't recommend it unless you're a die-hard DP fan and then you're likely to call it shite.
Oh... There's a cover of Roadhouse Blues on there too. I know I'm biased but Quo's Piledriver version pisses all over it.

Hi All, Victor - Did you get the PM about the green day cd ? I have always liked the hit's so I thought I would buy an old album a couple of years ago 'The Road To Hell And Back' the next was 'Shamrock Diaries' wasn't disappointed and bought a load as you can probably tell most for 1p plus £1.26 p&p so as far as I am concerned I am quid's in at the moment. Have listened to all so far and think there some really great tracks the one that I always get teary eyed for is 'Tell Me There's A Heaven' such a sad track....
