I'd rather have EOTR released officially Cheers FR has heard the tapes and the band was rubbish. There were signs of nostalgic wanking and these tapes have been destroyed for our own good.

They could release it as a 'festivals' disc in a boxset or something.

They could release it as a 'festivals' disc in a boxset or something. On paper that's fine and a good idea but the reality could different. The release would have to make a profit to make business sense and footage, taking Donington 2014 as an example, could be very expensive to licence reducing the possibility of making a profit. I believe that the Granada footage included on 'Accept No Substitute' DVD was several thousand pounds a minute to licence which is why not all existing footage was included on that release.

Donington was already released as part of the accept no substitute DVD set I think? I just figured it would be another 'money for old rope' situation that Quo are better than Del Boy at. Glastonbury was shot by the BBC, well there was a chap who posted right up until Christmas Eve who was convinced there was a relationship between Quo and the BBC behind the scenes, so perhaps a deal could be struck. Same must have happened for the BBC box set right? I guess Isle of Wight would be the sticking point, I think it was shot by ITV? I wouldn't imagine the whole thing was recorded, just parts that were shown as highlights later on. Then again, from a business point of view, it doesn't make any sense to release any of it as all 3 will now be in the public domain on Youtube etc, especially Glastonbury.

Donington was released as part of 'Accept No Substitutes' DVD but the management would have re-licence the footage for any subsequent release - effectively paying for the same footage twice. I used the ITV/Granada footage as it was very expensive to licence which may be case with other footage that's known be professionally filmed.

Donnington isn't the Full Set though It's actually spelled 'Donington', but the fact remains the management would have re-licence the footage and that may be a lot more for complete set as opposed the partial set that's currently available. You have all why the whole set wasn't released in first place. Why choose half set but not what thing? Was it too expensive? Possibly.
