Yesterday I was in a bar and heard this song with Francis' vocals, or so I thought. Listen to Tattva by Kula Shaker, it's uncanny! (and a nice psychadelic song at that.) Just googled it, it's from '95.

I have only seen one clip from there on tv one night and I really wouldn't remember which broadcast and which station, I have a feeling though it was a German station. That song ( don't remember a title either, sorry) did stick out to me in a rather positive way and reminded me of both Beatles and Quo during 68, ealyry 69

Interesting that Alan Lancaster credited one of The Spectres B-sides "Laticia" to Rick on John & Gillie's show recently.

Interesting that Alan Lancaster credited one of The Spectres B-sides "Laticia" to Rick on John & Gillie's show recently. I had thought Pat Barlow wrote that one... A lot of the very early stuff was co-credited to Pat presumably as part of a deal either for managing them or lending them his gas showroom to rehearse in! A lot of Quo writing credits are wildly inaccurate, but it's a suprise that Rick wrote a 'Quo' song before he was even in the band!

Lead singer Crispian Mills is Sir John Mills Grandson.

They played POMM and IITS live a few years ago - I believe that they may be on one of those live albums from Live Hear and Now?
Lancaster did a great rock version of Matchstickmen which can be found on bootlegged demos.
