Don't Give It Up was originally recorded by Rhino's band "Rhino" in 1983, co-written with Richard Lightman, you know the guy.
I'd be very suprised if Rick or Francis had anything to do with co-writing it, especially Francis. Maybe Rick suggested a few "ooh ooh oooh's" in the background and thus his lifestyle was funded for an extra few weeks. Similarly, Francis. I think they just needed the money and with Quo's new lease of life, their egos just went a bit wild.
Maybe it was Pip who played on the LLL demo is 78/79?
